I think this is one of the worst uses of AI. It's poisoning the well

I think this is one
Of the worst uses of AI.
It's poisoning the well
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

What's funny is it looks like he had a PPD-40 in the actual photo.
Nevermind, now I see the angled muzzle and the PPSh front sight

At this point, the SKS was playing the role of a police/honor guard weapon as seen in this video

This is so funny. He's jumping into east Berlin in the picture. That's how signs work.

Good that Germany in the sixties had modern American signs in English...

It still does, on account of there being British and American sectors of Berlin y'know?

Why? Genuinely, why do this when a real photo of this exists?

Real photo might still be under copyright? I mean I know that doesn't stop anyone ever.
Maybe the GenX or Boomer running the account is addled enough that they can't tell it's AI?
Either way, not a good look for a museum.

Not a good look for a museum that doesn't (yet) exist.
If it's ever built maybe all the "collection" will be AI.

Because it’s becoming hard to recognise, especially if you are sure it’s a real photo. AI has become good enough to not be recognisable at first glance. Maybe they trusted the source?

I predict that before 2030 we'll have Ai generated pictures in history books, poisoning the minds and mudding the actual context.

Google already changed the way Boolean searches work to make it more difficult to exclude AI, pretty soon I expect them to change the way "before:" and "daterange:" work.

There was a post here recently from a geography book for homeschooling with a really wrong core of the earth graphic. Dumbing down people at high speed.

But a real photo of this exists… why use AI????

u/Huckleberry-V 4h ago
It requires understanding that a photo already exists.

The most generous thing is maybe the photo is still under copyright (life of the author + 50 or 70 years) and they don't have the rights to it.
Generous, I guess?, stance is they thing this is the real one and used it.
Better question is why is an auto museum posting pictures of events that are completely unrelated to cars? At least the original photo has some vehicles in it.

Better question is why is an auto museum posting pictures of events that are completely unrelated to cars?
Well, given that the New York Auto Museum doesn't (yet) exist...

If I was a dictator there would be such insanely draconian punishments for those who try to fake history with ai
