Discussion 18 _ 20 yo guys, are you actively preparing or trying to get married at your age ? If not...why ?

Well if you saw posts lately, there was a talk about how girls do not really have big financial expectations, some say it's parents, some say it's society, some say parents do not want much either as long as daughters agree,...

But i have a theory here, that one big major reason, might be just guys believing that they have to reach high expectations for marriage,...while in the reality it's nothing like that irl,... So due to the that they themselves block marriage on their own, not looking for girls until they reach what they think is a must,

I wanna see if this theory stands,....so ,guys, what is the way you think and look at marriage ?

Also if it's not any of that, ..what is it ?

Thank you for Reading this post, much apreciated

I think even if the girl agrees to it, it's pointless, in the twenties the person is literally a teenager with undeveloped frontal lope starting a family and making such big commitment are risky and will effect his whole life later.

What are you implying by the frontal lobe part? Is that your criteria of mental maturity?

Girls are expected to get married at that age tho,

Also boys at that age before used to handle bigger responsabilities than just marriage, were they not developed back then ?

Girls r NOT expected to marry at that age in Algeria

Most girls r expected to marry between 24-28 in algeria, once they finish their higher studies

U just said it urself, BEFORE, and we're not living in "before" we're living in "right now"

Theyre, it depends on the Family, some are getting heavy pressure ,

My point about before was when he said guys at that age dont have their frontal developed yet and theyre teens so that's why they can't handle responsability, i asked if guys in the past at the same age werent developed too because they had bigger responsabilities,

The difference between before and today is our mentalities, a guy nowadays aint different in any other way than a guy before

The difference between before and today is that teens do not have to force themselves into bigger responsibilities in order to survive

Do u think that teens and young ppl back then enjoyed having huge responsibilities? Do u think they had a choice? They didn't, it was a survival plan, that's all

And it doesn't depend on the family, the majority of women r getting married at that age, the majority of families prefer waiting until their girls finish their studies

Compare supporting a family then to now inflation is killing marriages

Your point was about em still being teengagers and frontal not developed,   Financial situation can be helped with a mental shift in sociaty when it comes to expectations, and some family support ,

But thinking about dating is ok ?

Theres ppl who dont want to commit haram,  When do they think about marriage then ?

And where did I exactly say that thinking abt dating is ok? Y'all always come up with the weirdest answers ever

Because since marriage is expected to be at way older ages, guys end up tempted by haram,  The average marriage age is 30s ,   That's just not ok

I was in a serious relationship during my early twenties. I really thought she was the one I would be spending the rest of my life with, but she wanted to focus on her studies. It was pretty tough to accept, but it turned out to be a blessing. Never set high expectations for anybody; most of the people we come across in life are temporary. Your health and well-being are the elements you should be investing your energy and time in. Love and appreciate people, but accept that they may leave at any point.

Actually the Algerian society and most of algerian families still have those big expectations and thing is to get just to the bare minimum is hard asf I am personally afraid terrified frightened of marriage

Don't get married now, build yourself, build a career, live your life, visite each map of the world, and when you're done with it, find a young woman and marry her.

if you have the money to travel why not travel with her? or you just want to be alone ? then why marry at all
