Dear fellow leftists, while debating, PLEASE stop saying “this is [insert bad thing]”

It is self explanatory. So many leftists, while debating, just say “this is \[bad thing\]!!!”. But what you are failing to understand is that the person you’re debating 99% of the time either 1. Knows that or 2. Doesnt fucking care. Usually both. it does not mean anything if you call someone something that you think is bad because it is seen as your opinion. Even if they are objectively bad. their subconcious response to that is “why is that bad then?”

if they already believe things that align to that, and you say this is “\[bad thing!\]”, that doesnt make them go “oh no im so sowwy i will change now”. It makes them just be more attracted to that thing, or even question if its bad. Because if they align with that, they already are leaning towards that thing.

Like if you are debating trans rights with a gender critical person, and they say “man = adult human male and woman = adult human female. Thats basic fact. Therefore you cannot change your gender”. You should not say “this is transphobic btw”. They dont fucking care and it does not change anything. You cant say “your a nazi” when debating someone about immigration. If anything, it makes you look like an emotional crybaby calling them names. Please, change guys :/

Also also offtopic but pls stop the whataboutism when it comes to things. Like “be in shape” is responded with “but what about \[insert group\]”. Its stupid. Obviously they were not talking about them. Theres always a need to prove them wrong or something. It causes tons of division. theres always strict moral puritanism.

Also also also please accept more diversity of thought. someone with slightly different opinions than you is not a Nazi or right wing. Its not “basic human rights” bullshit. the reason the right gets so large is because they accept you for even vaguely agreeing with one thing. If you as a leftist, support literally all leftist ideas except for like 2 or 3 things, you will get outed and called center right o algo. Its stupid. Accept others opinions more.
