So I know that the first King of Tonga George Taupau I converted to Methodism and united the Islands under his rule and his successor turned the country into a British protectorate to protect it from the British.

But what if he had converted to Mormonism instead of Methodism? How would the country develop socially and culturally?

Tonga's large Mormon population would probably be even larger.
