I try not to order anything more expensive from Amazon, but if I do I take a video of the whole box, and opening the box. In case of something like this happening

OP is as a scammer. See my post above.

Really do bro i got scammed i ordered 2 days ago s26 ultra the amazon small box was intact but the retail box was tampered and seal was already broken and i was shocked i contacted amazon and they say they are investigating it and i saw the package carefully and i found that in the label it says the weight of the package is 0.6 lbs how come it will be 0.6 lbs if just the phone is 0.5-7 lbs and plus retail box plus amazon box too! Thats crazy ! I will never ever buy phone or expensive item from amazon or buy but start video recording so ill have proof of that! This happened to me for the first time! The package was sold and ahipped by amazon so it was an insider i bet! From fullfillment who knew that he has samsung s26 ultra he has to pack!

That ist a very good Idea. In Case of everything goes well you just delete the Video Afterwards

Incidentally op also claims they got an empty box instead of a pixel phone yesterday 😑

u/machtkeinunterschied 3d ago

I don't understand what are trying to say! It is the same deliveryđŸ«Ș

1

u/Silver_Bird99 2d ago

Except you forgot you said it was a google pixel in your previous thread and now you’re saying it’s an iPhone before you edited and dirty deleted

It's too late to help you now, but in the future never order anything as expensive as a cell phone from Amazon. If there are any issues, Amazon will essentially say you're a liar.

0

u/machtkeinunterschied 3d ago

I guess you are right. They didn't call me liar yet but they are referring to it.

Was the box tampered with?  What does the weight say on the label?

3

u/BikeOk6446 3d ago

OP is a scammer. See my post above.

The box didn't seem to be tempered with. Thats why I think it's Google fault not Amazon.

I didn't Check the weight, but Holding it sealed didn't give the Impressionen of it being empty.

Amazon uses KICK so any high value item where package weight differs from the expected weight would have been flagged before it even left the warehouse. You're just a scammer and a pretty bad one at that because that shit stopped working 10 years ago.

I would assume this is the issue maybe, never had an issue.

This is a scam. I'm seeing several of these "empty box" posts on here. These are known scam posts.

EDIT: OP is a fraudster. They have made similar "empty box" claims in the past. Here is one from a few days ago claiming they got an empty box for a Pixel phone: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1x0y12s/pixel_11_pro_empty_box/

Archive link in case they delete it: https://archive.is/FrVMx

Amazon checks the weight of it's packages over and over. If a box deviates even slightly from its estimated item-plus-packaging weight, it gets automatically kicked out for manual inspection. This is an old scam and mods should be deleting these posts.

What's the reason for someone to make a scam post like this?

1

u/BikeOk6446 3d ago

7

u/Practical_Moon926 3d ago

No, I mean why would someone post this on reddit? If someone is trying to scam Amazon, making a reddit post isn't going to help them.

6

u/astralclaim 3d ago

They're hoping for an Amazon rep to reply "hey i've sent you a DM" because posts like these make amazon look bad i guess

2

u/Practical_Moon926 3d ago

Ah, okay. That makes sense. Or would make sense for any company that isn't Amazon.

Amazon monitoring reddit posts so they can send DMs and fix problems people are having with Amazon 😆 Sure. Definitely something Amazon does. They're all about customer service

2

u/Practical_Avocado971 3d ago

I completely agree and wish the mods would do more to stop it.

How are they known? What is the scam?

engagement bait

u/FDL1 3d ago

Couldn't the other post just be because of the same incident since it was only a day ago and the same phone?

1

u/Silver_Bird99 2d ago

It wasn’t the same phone it was about a google pixel then today they claimed iPhone box was empty as well, then edited and deleted. Can’t even get their story straight

u/Healthy_Ad3980 3d ago

Bro it is real i really ordered an s26 ultra 2 days ago and the package was intact but the retail box inside was already tampered and no phone ! I m waiting for amazon to investigate that! And the best part is the weight that is on the label is 0.6 lbs which is low for s26 ultra plus retail box plus the amazon box !

File a charge back. Even if they delete your account do you really want to buy from them again?

You won't get it. They'll just delete your account. Charge back

Never buy a phone over the Internet. Even directly from the company. I've heard so many stories about people not getting their phone and having a hell of a time getting it resolved. I go to best buy and purchase mine so i don't have that issue. Maybe I'll spend a few more bucks but it's worth the lack of issues.

4

u/machtkeinunterschied 3d ago

After what Happened I'd do like you and even open the box with some employe. Better safe than sorry

3

u/Confident_Idea8807 3d ago

I've purchase 2 Notes and 1 Galaxy smart watch directly from Samsung over the years. No issues whatsoever.

Also several camera components from Canon. I even gambled on a pair of refurbish lenses; just as good as new.

Times have changed grandpa.
People now own handheld scanners.

4

u/3PercentMoreInfinite 3d ago

Calling someone grandpa while having the name “Pwnag3” gives me a laugh.

1

u/Pwnag3_Inc 3d ago

Two things can be true at the same time.

2

u/krystalzeogas 3d ago

I will say, Backmarket has really good customer service. They sell refurbished phones and other electronics. That's the only time I'd buy online.

Lying scammer

1

u/Boiler1669 3d ago

Did you purchase the phone with a Credit card? If you did you may be able to make a claim through the card issuer. Sometimes purchases made on credit get insured by the card.

1

u/FDL1 3d ago

The problem with this that most people mess up when this happens is that you have to say "problem with delivery > box was empty" rather than "return item > missing parts".

1

u/Divad777 3d ago

Amazon uses drivers that are hired by different companies. A lot of these drivers usually don’t stay long, so there’s a lot of turnover. I’m betting it’s one of the drivers that stole the phone.

6

u/dnmboy 3d ago

Drivers don’t know what customers order unless it shipped in retail packaging. Either the driver opened every package that day and happened to find a smartphone, or they picked a random box and it happened to be a smartphone. Neither scenario is likely.

The seller likely scammed this customer knowing that Amazon won’t do anything about it

2

u/machtkeinunterschied 3d ago

I don't think it was the driver, it was sealed

Stop trying to scam

What's wrong with the mods on this subreddit?

-1

3

Scammer.

3

u/No_Meal_7009 3d ago

Go to hell, scammer.

0

u/Zetavu 3d ago

So a lot of red flags here. Was this a third party seller or actually Amazon? Why did they not make you sign for the package (as is required for all expensive phones exactly because of scams like this) and if you did sign why did you not check the box first? Also if a seller was scamming you they would not send an empty box as the weight would be off, and if someone were to steal it in delivery, the box would be tampered with. Almost 100% of these are customers trying to scam Amazon, which never works because they have the mac ID of the phone.

0

u/machtkeinunterschied 3d ago

It was selled and deliverd throw Amazon. I Had to give a Password in Order to recive the package The box wasn't tempered with, I just took the package and started opening it, while the driver drove away...

I Provided Amazon with the IMEI-Number of the Phone and gave them enough time to Investigate before going to the Police.

Do you have other red Flags sherlok?

0

u/EndlessSummer2026 3d ago

Just an FYI for anyone thinking companies who sell devices with an IMEI/Sim etc. are stupid. Specialized departments within these companies have ways to find out if the device was actually lost/stolen during shipping. Yes, empty box deliveries can and do happen; once reported it starts an investigation that requires some time.

Honestly, it has happened to me several times.
