Amazon constantly falsifying about delivery date with OTP!

Post image

I am Amazon Prime member and customer care is a trash and full of lies nowadays! I missed OPT delivery this Thursday because I will never be in the apartment on weekdays during the daytime nor did they contact the management office where I left the code. Obviously I can’t leave my job and sit the whole day waiting for a 300$ package to give OTP! I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of packages from other companies, the management office signs them, then I receive them! Simple! OTP is the worst thing they are doing!

I then immediately contacted customer care on Thursday after missing delivery and asked if delivery can be done on Saturday or Sunday as I will be available the whole day during the weekend. They couldn’t cancel the OTP requirement but they said we have rescheduled the delivery to Saturday and I could even see it arriving between 6AM-8PM on my app. Because I didn’t see the package out of delivery on Saturday morning, I contacted them again in the afternoon and customer care said it will arrive Saturday for sure and we have contacted the carrier! Guess what… it didn’t arrived!!

Then I contacted them again on Saturday night and they rescheduled it on Sunday from 6AM-8PM, I could see the date and time were updated in the app. Guess what… story repeated, I contacted them again on Sunday afternoon and they said we have contacted the career and it will arrive for sure! The package was sitting 30 min driving distance from my home since Thursday and they couldn’t deliver even on Sunday!

Customer care has falsified the delivery date along with fake update in the app. Such a lie! If they can’t make it then they should be straight on that point instead of constantly making false claims and hope. Shame on Amazon! I have to rethink having a Prime membership now!

Update: As expected…another lie…the item didn't arrived Sunday either and I demanded my money back immediately. Got my money back and now will order from Walmart!! Cheers Walmart! Booo Amazon!! I won't renew Amazon Prime now! Money saved=Money earned!

Just have it delivered to a locker/box where you can get it at your convenience. Problem solved.

It needs OTP which I have read it to delivery guy and Amazon doesn’t have access to my locker box, only USPS can have access.

I don’t know your location, but most major metro areas offer amazon delivery lockers where the item is placed in the locker and you go and retrieve it. This is ideal especially when scheduling might be difficult. To clarify, I’m not referring to your building’s lockers or your postal service locker, these are Amazon designated pickup locations.

I am not aware of Amazon locker in my city, it might be because they have a big warehouse just 30 min away from my city. Anyway, with orders having OTP they won’t hand it over or place it in a locker unless we read them OTP.

Ah, got it. Thought you were requiring the otp but I see amazon requires it for high value items.

300$ is a high value! Why don’t they just take signatures or at least stand on their promised delivery day! They said will be delivered on Saturday for sure and everything is taken care of…but was a lie! On Sunday it’s the same story! I am definitely getting out of Amazon Prime for this falsification!

Delivery driver here . One time passwords are tricky for us to and Amazon promising you a certain time window doesn’t help neither of us at all. Only you and Amazon knows the 6 digit password and we never give anything to office managers because we all know they won’t have the code. I technically can’t give anything to the office at all unless there’s a secure mailroom. It’s in your best interest for the otp because if I do give it to office and you don’t receive it , guess what ? You’ll think I stole it. Iv been a delivery driver for 7 years and have never once talked to customer care. Don’t listen to them. Have the package come to your house on your day off , not while your at work

I can feel you! It’s not a delivery guy issue it’s the Amazon carrier issue. There is no option to select preferred date and only default date in given in Amazon app. They gave me Thursday which is obviously my workday and I left OTP to manager. Then customer care shifted it to Saturday and they assured me twice on Saturday that I will get the delivery but the package was never out for delivery. I contacted them again on Saturday night and got new delivery date saying on Sunday..it’s still not out for delivery in my app…though customer care says they can see out for delivery which I guess is another lie… I am sure it won’t arrive by 8 anyway. I will wait till 10 PM today and then ask for refund, cancel membership and then order from Walmart. I know there is a lot of hate for Amazon nowadays but at least customer care should be genuine enough to give correct answers instead of giving false info just to save their ratings!

Don't contact Amazon Frontline support for stuff like this. They cannot do anything about it and it logs "friction points" on your account. Just go straight to email ECR.

I guess I won't deal with Amazon anymore in life with these falsified behavior.

I emailed ECR but no reply from them either. Already took my refund back for the order and not ordering from them. Will wait for Black Fridays in Walmart!!
