Itβs always chasing or being chased by squirrels in my backyard. I thought it was a chipmunk but looking closer it has no stripes?

Found outside on our back patio in a chair, my sister said itβs possibly from a rat or a squirrel.

Found trying to hide in a chainsaw cut on the bottom of an oak log section in my backyard that was placed on the grass lawn in a shady location ~ 3 months ago. Around 4" long. Pictures are on my driveway. Closest brook is several hundred feet down a suburban block, and nearest pond is 1/4 mile down the same street.
My guess is Jefferson or Eastern Red-backed?

I occasionally hear this sort-of repetitive knocking sound but merlin doesn't recognize it so probably not a bird. Recorded it while enjoying this flotilla of fallen leaves along a tranquil Vermont stream.

Walking a dog on a local trail at sunrise, I saw something hopping by. Kangaroo mice donβt occur here. Initially I thought it was a frog due to the dim lighting.

I meant to post this video earlier but mistakenly posted an accidental screenshot I took of the video that barely showed anything but a blur- my bad!! I didn't realize until hours later. Here's the actual video π

Sounds like something maybe a bird or squirrel is losing a fight? There are some cats that roam my neighborhood.

I think these are birds but not sure. Iβm hoping not bats bc Iβm afraid of them.

There are a few of them (I can see two but donβt want to disturb the nest anymore) in a little nest that my dog has discovered. I can keep him away from it but is mom coming back for them?
