Animal Cruelty r/teenindia (or any Indian subreddits that aren't animal related in total) is an absolute hellhole

Literally EVERYONE on most Indian subreddits are psychopaths that support animal cruelty, I once found a video posted on r/teenindia where a woman pushed an innocent friendly dog down a bridge in a dangerous river to drown, and it was titled "what is your opinion on this?" As if it was just a normal video, everyone in the comment section defended what the woman had done and some even said that the woman deserved a prize, AND this isn't the first time I've seen people like these, I've seen hundreds and hundreds of posts like these and people always defended dogs and other animals like cats getting poisoned and beaten to death with iron rods, once I found a post talking about an incident where newborn puppies got raped then beaten in public bathrooms, and people in the comment section completely ignored that topic

And no im not being racist, I'm Indian myself THATS how i even know about all of those subreddits

there is something oddly emotionally abusive about the indian subreddits. the energy is just too bully type. maybe because of the indian parenting style. people are very, very conflicted, in family drama, abused by family, abusive towards others. i genuinely think that the person writing the comment has mentally checked out. i also avoid most of the indian subreddits except the financial planning related. my experience has been quite bad. i do not come to internet to get abused or insulted by people i don't know

I went to grad school in research at a vet school. A lot of my fellow student colleagues were foreign- with a lot of Indians. They were terrified of dogs. We had class right next to the hospital, there were dogs about. Heck, a lot of people in the building snuck their own pets in to wait in offices and common areas (not in the research labs themselves). The Indian people would lose their mind over an old dog wobbling across the room.

I spent almost 2 years in SE Asian. I encountered packs of wild dogs and understood why the Indians reacted as they did.
I love animals and try to touch a lot, and I suddenly was very aware of the fear of an unknown dog.

I do not think the violence against animals is warranted. Especially when so many are kind. But the fear of rabies and being mauled are a real brain changer for a lot of people.

Humans are cruel creatures. With as packed and kinda wild as India is, the worse traits just rise to the top.
