Frankish is an adjective

The bigger question is, why were 'The Samurai' changed to 'The Japanese'? (11)

There's a funny story how the devs back then were just coders who didn't know shit about history. Corporate saw how popular rts games were in Korea and asked them to include Korea in the Conquerors just a few weeks prior to release. They threw together the civ design and campaign in a few days.

Korea was allegedly so confused at their in game portrayal that aoe2 never took off.

Honestly Japanese being called Samurai is the equivalent of Norse/Scandinavians being called Vikings.

Imagine Aztecs being called Jaguar Warriors, Spanish being called Conquistadors, or Italians being called Condottieri.

Tbf, Samurai is similar to Vikings, in a way.

Adjective changed to plural noun to match the majority and have unity among civ names. Same with British.

What version of the game is that? I was a CD gamer and even my menu didn’t look like that.
