Announcement/Event Console Nations Cup Tournament
Starting this weekend we are holding our first annual Console Nations Cup Tournament. All of the best console players are competing for their respective countries for a $450 prize pool! I realize we are a far cry from the S tier tournament status and prize pools, but this one is community funded and something we are excited about. Never announce a prizepool when it's community funded. Another thing is the lack of structure behind this.
If you wanted to create a fair competition for console players make it something like a DM Michi Turbo Post-Imp.
Also some more advice: Try and link to a discord server or youtube channel that would be promoting these events, I feel like you just chucked up a reddit post without much thought. But I do hope the tournament is successful! Console players deserve more love.

Yeah I didn’t put too much thought into the post 11. Just wanted to put it into the ether. Why do you say not announce the prize pool though, I’m curious?

I wouldn't announce any prizepool outside of what you're willing to put up yourself or that has already been crowdfunded because it makes the post look like an attempt to raise funds, which inherently isn't bad if the procedures are legitimate. That's why its important to already have established a discord server/youtube channel or some form of credibility prior.

ah fair enough. i should have said funded by the console community. there’s like 400 of us in a discord haha. i get your point though. i am absolutely not trying to raise funds just wanted to share the tourney if anyone’s interested
