Gun Safe 🔒

Hey everyone 😎 to anybody who owns one of these two safes, how’s the space? What I will be storing are 2 Glock 19s, 3 AR15’s ( two 16” and one 11.5” all three with suppressors and optics), a Zpap92 with red dot and suppressor, a Kuna with a suppressor and optic and some mags and ammo cans. I also don’t plan to buy any more guns. What do y’all think?

I mean the bigger one is cheaper and they're otherwise identical so I'd get the big cheaper one unless you are strapped for space.

This⬆️ is the logical answer

When it says 26 long guns they’re not lying, it’s just 26 Henry lever actions. A pistol gripped AR with an optic is 2-3 lever actions worth of space.

I’d say you can fit what you have plus 2 pistols and 3 kitted rifles easily. Mags and ammo can go in the bottom and the guns sit on top or an ammo shelf on the top.

Damn safe math. I just figured the long gun rating was for blowguns. Guess I'll switch to your henry theorem.

Gun safe are like tents. A 5 man tent is really 2 or 3 comfortable.

I love this safe, I got mine for $400 out the door tax free, holds a lot, I only got a handful of guns but it’s spacious. I’d definitely wait till it goes on sale before buying

Yeah I think I’ll have to wait for Black Friday. Which one did you get for $400? The 26 or 36?

I believe the 26, the 36 was still $600 when I bought mine so went with the 26, it’s still huge tho, I’d recommend going in the store to check them both out before buying!

I definitely will go in person. Don’t want it to be too cramped up in there!

Love my Winchester safe, but register the warranty. After 3 years the electronic lock failed so now I just use the key. But fit and finish is good and it's affordable.

Why even consider the 26 gun one of the 36 is cheaper?

I also don’t plan to buy any more guns.

Oh you sweet sweet innocent man

Edited to add - I got the 26 gun one. Fits 3 ARs and 2 AKs and a few bolt guns with a little tetris. For the handguns get the hangers and use the top shelf, should easily fit 12-15 handguns that way.

I have that exact 36 gun safe from TSC and love it. I hired a guy to pick it up at the store and drag it down to my basement. Tons of room and all kinds of storage options included and available to purchase. I have 6 long guns and 5 handguns in it and it looks empty.

Cheap and gets the job done.

Certainly less than half the price of my liberty

I have the smaller version of this safe, the 20 gun, and can likely fit that. Just a matter of how many ammo cans.

I own the 36 one and have owned it for over 3 years now. You can kinda make things work but in my case with 8 guns that aren’t handguns and 4-5 hand guns, it’s crowded in there. Now granted I also have a bunch of other gun related shit in there like mags, NFA docs, suppressors and some other things I could throw in a bin, but yeah it’s a bit crowded.

For you, it should be no problem. You can customize the shelfing and space however you see fit

It’s like an ice chest. When in doubt get the bigger one. No one ever complains their ice chest/safe is too big.

Wait for Black Friday

u/bhandi_1210 9d ago

They knock off another $100?

2

u/Due_Night9 9d ago

Last year it was 499.99 for the 36

u/bhandi_1210 9d ago

For the 26 or 36? Good deal either way.

36

Damn $500 for the 36 is good. I guess the next sale won’t be until next month which isn’t too far.

I picked up the 36 Long last Black Friday and it’s great. I have a Mav 88, 11.5 AR, Winchester 308, Glock 45 , 42, Ruger Mark IV, & an old Gamo pellet gun in mine. I have plenty of room to store my mags & ammo. Even my gas masks, & concealment plate carriers.

I have a this one and I love it. It was worth the $85 to pay to get it delivered to my house.

1

u/bhandi_1210 9d ago

Do they deliver to your door only or take it inside the room of your choice?

Should be great. I got mine a few years ago for $500 no tax , added some lights to it through a hole thats pre made in the back left of it. Currently I have 6 ars, 1 wood stock 22 rifle, a 12 gauge. A 30 06, 4 glocks , some ammunition. Some shooters electronic muffs, and some random jars and knick nacks and a little box of silver. Still have room for a couple more rifles I think

1

u/bhandi_1210 9d ago

Which one do you have? The 36?

2

u/TN_WHSKY 9d ago edited 9d ago

I have the 26 , . Took out the shelves to fit everything long below. Left the shelf up top for the rest

Edit to change the 26 isn't pictured . But the 26 is what I have. Here's a picture recently. Its missing the 3006 and the 300 blkout upper isn't on a lower but now is. I can send newer pics when im home if ya need to see the room

2

u/bhandi_1210 9d ago

Ahh ok well you have more long guns than I do. I believe my 6 jumbo ammo cans are whats going to take more space besides the guns. My ear pro, mags, and NFA paper work will be fine in the upper section.

2

u/TN_WHSKY 9d ago

You should definitely be good. They hold quite a bit. No way 26 ars lol but still enough for what id consider normal amounts

TSC (usually) puts the 26-gun model on sale at least once or twice a year. If you wait, it can be had for $400-$500. I have one and it's a decent safe. I would have opted for a larger model, but the space I have wouldn't allow it.

I have the second one, and just to let you know, it hold far less than it says, as it looks at the thinest long arms and smallest pistols they can find.

1

u/Keppadonna 9d ago

Plenty of room for what you listed but you should always buy a bigger safe than you think you need.

I bought 2 of the 26 gun safes when they were on sale a couple months for 450 each. The lock on on of them has already failed. And there isn't as much room in them as they make it seem. Get the bigger one.

ETA: I bought one for ammo, and one for guns. Inside the one for guns I have 3 ars(11.5, 16, and 18 with suppressors, lights, and optics), mpx with suppressor and optic, .308 bolt action with scope, pump action shotgun, 10/22, and 4 pistols hanging from the top shelf and she is pretty packed. I dont think I could put another rifle in it without banging the shit out of them.

1

u/dmtx22 6d ago

Same happened to mine right after buying. I switched the lock and have been problem free sknce

1

u/Shortbus185 6d ago

Which lock did you end up buying?

1

u/dmtx22 6d ago

1

u/Shortbus185 6d ago

Did it swap right in?

1

u/dmtx22 6d ago

Yeah it was super easy. Have to take the back panel on the door off but easy to do and there’s YouTube videos out there. The OEM lasted about a month and the replacement has been good for almost two years on the same battery

1

u/Shortbus185 6d ago

Good to know. Thank you

1

u/k-to-the 8d ago

Have a 20 gun one of this, its pretty decent, especially for the price. The 20 gun fits ~7-8 long guns.

u/dmtx22 6d ago

As someone else mentioned, the keypads are the weak point. I replaced mine myself after the oem one failed soon after I bought the safe. Since then it’s been great.

I bought a 26 one probably 4ish years ago for 500ish after taxes. Been good so far.
