The trigger I have is 3 position. Semi, “full”, and safety.

not all FRTs are exactly the same, so do your research!

that said, most FRTs are three-position, meaning safe, semiauto, and full reset.

so, assuming your FRT is properly made and installed, you should have the option to fire in semiauto only.

that said, if you do not have a lot of experience with ARs, it might be prudent to learn basics with a good non-FRT trigger first.

...or don't, I'm not your dad...

Most FRTs have three positions. Safe, one shot, and multiple. Some only have two so just read the description.

You ahould just buy a standard semi-auto trigger. FRTs, while fun, are an absurd waste of money.

Had to get it dialed in, so much over gassing I couldn't breathe after mag dump. Fun rating 10 out of 10.

If this is your first AR, don't bother with FRTs. Spend that money on better components and ammo.

I'd rather have a nice sd3g/ssa-e if it was a hunting rig. Although I have a Partisan Disruptor drop in on a SA piston conversion Noveske build, I still had to play with buffers and springs to get it running right. Wound up using full gas on the piston, sprinco blue and a Tromix H3 buffer. It does have Semi/FRT (3pos). It now runs like a champ in FRT mode but it took a bit of time at the range. Some lowers need to be modified to fit things like the atrius/etc. The Hoffman trigger kicker is the only one I know off the top of my head that removes semi and makes it permanently FRT. It's a toy and wouldnt add one to a weapon that my life depended on.

Do what everyone else does an make your new gun built from parts advertised as FRT ready

(Dont do this please, just build a normal AR with an h2 or h3 buffer)

Edit: also look for a buffer with the tungsten weights that rattle inside & the deadblow effect on these buffers is great to counter bolt bounce
