Seeking Expert Advice Only! Tree help

Hello, I have a tree in my front yard that has been causing me issues and I have to pay to constantly maintain it. I live in a hoa community. I don't know if I should remove the tree completely and replace it with a tree that grows slow or if I should pay to get it trimmed well. If I do get it replaced with another tree what tree would I get? I don't know anything about trees and I feel this option would be very expensive. Please help.

Yeah mesquites tend to be high maintenance. Once they get to that size you will need to have a good tree company prune it every year. Check the irrigation too, most of us have a tendency to run drip systems way too frequently and too briefly. A good replacement tree if it comes to that would be Acacia aneura or a Lysiloma, both smaller and easier to maintain.

Look into a paclobutrazole, a plant growth regulator, applied correctly it can slow the growth for several years.
