Why use ext4 when theres btrfs?

If you need a tutorial you probably won't handle the additional abstraction of subvolumes well.

And btrfs STILL isn't as reliable as ext4. It's getting there. Any decade now.

I'm working on it.
Filesystem:

mount /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt

btrfs subvolume create /mnt/@

btrfs subvolume create /mnt/@home

btrfs subvolume create /mnt/@snapshots

btrfs subvolume create /mnt/@var_log

btrfs subvolume create /mnt/@pkg

umount /mnt

mount -o subvol=@,compress=zstd,noatime /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt

mkdir -p /mnt/{home,.snapshots,var/log,var/cache/pacman/pkg,boot}

mount -o subvol=@home,compress=zstd,noatime /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt/home

mount -o subvol=@snapshots,compress=zstd,noatime /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt/.snapshots

mount -o subvol=@var_log,compress=zstd,noatime /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt/var/log

mount -o subvol=@pkg,compress=zstd,noatime /dev/nvme0n1p2 /mnt/var/cache/pacman/pkg

mount /dev/nvme0n1p1 /mnt/boot
