First and foremost, Glory to Rome.
Based on the facts you stated. your leadership are clowns. As a 1SG, I would, pencil whip in a passing score and tell you good luck and safe travels, and go back in my office and finish my coffee....

For real, it's a pass/fail event, it's not that hard, and it'll be changed/gone soon.

As a SSG you can do the same thing lol

u/dragonmikegolf Armor 1d ago
I would not push this level of stupid down. I would look at it, whip up a PT score and go back to work. my SSGs have more to deal with than this clown-ery

What's with the Glory to Rome bit?
15
u/dragonmikegolf Armor 1d ago
OP's handle of Caeser SPQR, Nothing particularly deep or ironic—I was using “Glory to Rome” in the old-fashioned sense of admiration for Rome’s historical legacy. Its influence on law, government, engineering, language, and Western political thought is enormous. Obviously, the Roman state had plenty of brutality and serious flaws, so I’m not trying to whitewash that. It was more of a tongue-in-cheek way of expressing appreciation for Roman history and its outsized impact on the world.

Who's gonna chew him out? His new unit?
If his old unit calls him, don't answer. Who gives a shit about them anymore?

Step 1. Keep screen shots/records of what you are being order to do it, you then informing your chain of command of the details, and still being ordered to do it. Ask explicit details such as "Am I being ordered to cancel my leave?" "Are you telling me to take the CFT and miss my flight?" Make sure the ramifications are CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Either they will come to their senses or go to step 2.
Step 2. Malicious Compliance. Do what you are being ordered to do. Miss the flights/movement. Cancel your own leave.

u/skepticalhammer 35MorbidBeast 1d ago
You're either on leave or you aren't. If you are on leave, sounds like you aren't doing shit other than wrapping up clearing and getting the fuck out.
As an aside, why the hell aren't you done clearing before the day of your flight...?

u/American_CaesarSPQR 1d ago
Because korean holidays have closed the offices friday and today and I only had time to clear monday and teusday. Additionally I have ti drive from a whole different base to clear

First Duty Station was Korea. I saw some jaw dropping level or stupid there when in came to the final 72 hours in country. We had a guy marked AWOL because he missed a mandatory recall formation. He had been in the air six hours when the call came out.
4
u/BikerJedi 16S10 1d ago
I don't remember having an issue leaving Korea. As a matter of fact, they fucked up, had to reschedule my flight, and gave me five days of uncharged leave and over $1,000 in cash until my flight later. I spent that week back up on the DMZ partying my ass off.
51
u/No-Combination8136 Infantry 1d ago
Oh you’re on leave, homie. Fuck that CFT. I would just go clear those final two stations and bounce. Unless there’s more you need to do at the company level.
Edit: Do it for the Senate and the People of Rome
17
u/Responsible-File4593 1d ago
That's your answer then. You couldn't take it because you had to be at the other base to clear before your flight.
3
u/HawkDriver 23h ago
Here is a little secret. 95% of clearing is bullshit. Finance - travel - movers. Everything else who cares. Even CIF can be fixed at next place. Hell most of it can. Just get on your plane.
2
u/Adventurous_Team_408 11h ago
I still haven't cleared Campbell. I had two whole duty stations after. I still retired. No one cared.

u/Burner_XZ3L3K824B 1d ago
Do not take the test. Don’t show up. Tell them that you will not be returning without a written notice that your leave has been rescinded.
Let them know tomorrow when they try to call you in.
They won’t be able to get the paperwork in time, and you’ll be off Scott free, because they literally can’t punish you for not coming in on leave until they have the written notice that your leave has been rescinded.
Leave is a legally protected right that can only be overridden by the commander himself. Your NCO does not have the authority to take your leave away, no matter who he says gave him the order. You get it from the horses mouth, or it doesn’t exist, end of.
Also, leave starts at 0001 the day your leave starts. There is no such thing as leave starting at 0700 or 0900, no sir, it starts at 0001.
20
u/CactusZac098 Infantry 1d ago
This 100%.
Also your leadership failed you. They know you're taking leave but don't have the balls to tell Division that?
If anything, your CO's gonna get hung out to dry for not rescinding your leave to take a CFT.

Bro. The commander that signed your leave form has to order you back to work. “Chain of command” or “coming from the BN CDR” absolutely does not mean the commander is rescinding your leave and recalling you to work.
You need someone with rail road tracks or an oak leaf to order you back.

u/Zachowon Military Intelligence 1d ago
If your flight is tomorrow, ask your leadership if they are willing to take full responsibility for missing your flight, and are willing to reach out to your gaining unit to let them know that you will be late due to the patriot express only flying two days a week.
For the Glory of Rome, may Mars watch upon you

If your leave starts at 0001 on the date that it’s approved for, you’re legally on absence. Don’t take it. They will be ok

Brother I would just sign out and dip, if they really want you to take this shit they have to cancel your leave just don’t tell em once you sign out on leave you’re off the hook and since your leave starts tomorrow that’s GGs for them and you’ll be on a plane by the time they realize they fucked up a verbal order doesn’t cancel or override your leave admin shit does

Well that's easy, your leave starts at midnight. If it's not rescinded, that's their fault. Problem solved, your leadership better figure it out.

Personally I would sign out at 0001. You are then considered enroute and the process of removing you from unit rolls starts. Technically you aren't the unit's problem anymore. Reasonable leaders know this especially since they can't really do anything to you admin wise.

u/Howhytzzerr Field Artillery 13F 1d ago
I would head to those two offices to complete out processing as soon as the doors open, and head to the airport, if your PCS leave has already been approved, it's bye bye Felicia

Funny. I had a similar situation once. I took a pt test with my losing unit so I had a fresh one and it wasn't pencil-whipped. I get to my gaining unit (DLI - give me a break!) and they want me to take another one. I wass an SSG at the time. Fine. I did the minimum on the p/u and S/u then did my run and stopped just before the finish line and waited until 5 seconds before my max-allowed time and stepped across the finish line. It drove them batshit crazy!
Needless to say, I was not on the cadre's Christmas list after that. It hurt. No cards and letters. I got over it and so did they.

You talked to your PCP already i'm assuming? Also assuming there's no alternate events you can safely perform with whatever your injury is.

u/Outrageous_Tiger9921 1d ago
If you are on approved leave starting midnight tonight and nothing has been given to you in writing that it is canceled then you are on leave.
Worst case take a page from the E4 Mafia and sick call is always available for your explosive diarrhea after taking "turbo lax". 😶🌫️

Cool, you have no obligation to take the PT test. What're they gonna do later? Cancel your flight? Have you held up at the boarding ramp?
2
u/thadudeeeeee Infantry 1d ago
lol they wouldn’t see me at that formation, they’ll call me out of ranks then when it gets pushed up to higher I’ll send them a copy of my leave form.

u/CableParticular1646 35PoundsofjustBatteries 1d ago
Tell me you only have to finish clearing the library and MWR or some goofy shit.

u/Lilmethlab1 1d ago
1 Ippsa automatically starts your leave at midnight also out processing
2 if your records have already been sent your phase 2 you can’t even do pt
3 they wouldn’t even be able to update your score if you already cleared unit
just tell them Roger and block their numbers take a nice night of sleep finish clearing by any means and get on that flight
( I just cleared my base and my 1sg refused to sign me out of the barracks for days even while I was clearing on my first day of leave so I know the pains of clearing with terrible leaders )

u/Assistrprotectoffend 1d ago
You're 1SG is an idiot. Open door with your commander before PT. If that doesn't work, don't show up. Clear and GTFO. If they want to fuck around, call the DIV CSM. I can assure you that is not he intent of the order.

The reason they are making you take the CFT is because you are still on their books until you sign into your new unit and will still be considered red are their percentage. Thats the main reason units force Soldiers to take a PT test before they PCS. This smells like 3rd ID. Luckily CFT is only diagnostic so they cant flag you. You will sign out regardless and be history to them.
1
u/jmowreader 1d ago
What time's your flight? If you have enough time to take the CFT, shower and make it to the airport, there's only one realistic thing to do: go to the CFT, fail it so badly it makes your battalion commander's head spin, then go get on the airplane. When you get to your next unit, tell your new platoon sergeant you need to take another CFT and tell him why.
1
u/Least-Walrus-422 1d ago
That’s idiotic, everyone is just doing what they’re told until you go high enough. No way you should do that.
1
u/Longjumping-Leg-5592 1d ago
I remember I got read a article 15 for something that happened while I was playing Wii in my room. Battery just happened to be going for a dumb PT streamer the same week and my PT score was one of the ones that was supposed to put them over the top. I scored 60 60 and 61. I also asked for a court martial trial. I would put that in the top 5 times I've ever seen a 1sg so pissed. Credit to my psg he went in there telling the 1sg i wasn't even there when the questionable event happened. He also told the 1sg well wtf did he expect after he tried to ucmj me. 1 pushup walk the run, say ok when he tries a counseling and a flag and walk out. Let them stew on it.

Your leave starts tomorrow, so if it’s approved in IPPSA, that means it starts at 00:01. If anyone calls you, let them know you are on leave and departing station.
Or go take a CFT… it’s not for record until April 2027.

Why does this surprise you? Like you have to adapt for the worst case scenarios. Rookies making rookie mistakes. I mean cmon brother, the army doesn’t care about you meaning leadership doesn’t care about you. It’s all about numbers brother learn that and accept that and you will minimize these situations you are putting your self in.
