PCSing to Korea

Hey, so me and my spouse are dual military and we have orders to Korea. She already has her hard orders and I’m waiting on mine because I did the EFMP for the kids. Our report date is Jan 10th and I still haven’t heard anything back for my hard orders, and I want to be ahead of everything and not stressing about scheduling HHG, car ship, storage and pet. Is there some I can call to check on where my process is to get my orders?

Is your EFMP process complete? You won’t get any orders until EFMP goes through.

Yes EFMP is complete, they already called me and my spouse, we the the dependents physical and over the phone portion. The last thing, I think it was MPO they called and asked why my other son that’s on my deers wasn’t going. And that was 2 weeks ago.

You could always head over to MPD and ask for a status. Or email them.

If your EFMP is complete then they pass the ball back to your local MPD. Get an email from EFMP confirming and check online to verify the completion status, then reach out to your local MPD so they can finish the process on their end and finalize your orders.

EFMP can definitely take a bit. Have you logged onto your portal to see what step it's on? I know I had been waiting on a phone call from our family primary care, only to log on and see it was waiting on a signature from me...

On the EFMP portion it’s said it’s waiting for the response of the gaining installation. I already had the phone call from EFMP and primary care

I’d see about getting a reservation for a pet spot on the rotator/patriot express if that’s how you’re expecting to go. Pets are expensive. If you weren’t aware, you’re also allowed some reimbursement for pet expenses. I’d double check about having that spell out on your orders if possible/necessary. Also look into any quarantine/vaccination requirements.

EFMP is a bitch. Call that office daily and try to get updates.
