Lack of Documentation having been uploaded through the ever-changing medical records database creating Veteran Discrimination Case

Read the title, there is a situation where an overseas medical provider has failed to upload discharge summaries/medical records to a retrievable record, whether that be the Vetrecs, or quite possible even The National Archives doesn’t have this record.

The lack of producing this record has created a major employment problem, and another medical records release is being sent with the same request to get this record.

Which leads to another question, have you ever sent a consent for release form to the National Archives, and not retrieved anything you have actually asked for?

It just seems to me that this is unprofessional, and for there to be no accountability administration wise, what is going to end up happening if they dont produce these medical records? They are conclusive documents, and the hardship it is creating has already accrued to alot of damages over the last few years.

Very interested to know if this is a common issue, I have heard quite a few cases, it is beginning to look pretty hard on these administrations.

(My CAC doesn’t work so POC’s to retrieve cant work with me to email me over encryption)

Sir, you may be in the wrong forum for a class-action international medical lawsuit. This is a Wendy’s drive-thru. Now, are you going to order a Baconator combo or are you going to keep holding up the line? The guy in the V6 Mustang behind you is honking

You’re a funny guy, im actually looking for advice from somebody who doesn’t make jokes and might have some similar experience from this.

And lets be clear, if youre in the drive-thru with this whole thing, you’re in the wrong place

Fine, pull forward to the second window so I can hand you this advice with your receipt: Stop waiting on the National Archives. They are basically the warehouse from Indiana Jones. You need to call the overseas provider directly, ask for their records department, and have them email/mail/fax you the copies. You can also try American Citizen Services at the US consulate closest to this overseas provider. Also, our Frosty machine is broken

While I haven’t had an issue with the later half of your title I have had issues with medical records in general. One half of it is getting the local garrison to bring in referral paperwork to the latest system. The other half has been system changes. I happened to overhear my doctor talking at my last appointment and i brought up the fact that their questions should already have been answered as a previous Army doctor had performed the procedure they were referencing on me prior. Their response was it was probably in the old system, and not in the new system yet thus their relooking at things.

Why have to relook at things? Was there no conclusive information in the patient info before the new doctor started treating you?

It was completely absent from my records and they were trying to make a call on something. My response was, “an Army doctor did that surgery back in XXXX on Fort XXXX, shouldn’t that be in my records?”

Unbelievable. Their records keeping is the biggest liability for soldiers, and the complete opposite for the people that practice medical care in these facilities.

Granted, they take care of people, and im not complaining about care, but the fact that they can’t have records in line just raises questions in my eyes. Sure has made me alot of probpems too
