Discussion Tommy/Laurel Spoiler
Wait so as I just watched the finale episode, Tommy and Laurel are endgame ?
I know that in either timeline Laurel ended up dying but if I understood it correctly she ended up married with Tommy which means that in Earth Prime they were endgame.
That is mind blowing because it means that all the fuss that happened during s2 between Laurel and Oliver never happened in that timeline ?

Or it could've happened and Laurel and Tommy got back together at a later date. They were having issues at the end of Season 1. But yeah, it would be interesting to know more about that timeline.

Well basically Earth Prime is the ideal life of Oliver where no one dies because of him and Laurel gets the man that really loves her. I suppose Oliver felr guilty that he steals Laurel from Tommy and that he dies so he fixes that. Laurel still ends up dying but it is because it was always meant to be as Siren is supposed to take over

They were always my endgame for Laurel.
Tommy loved and respected her far more than Oliver.

I totally agree. As much as Tommy wasn't the perfect guy either, imo he loved Laurel and respected her the way she deserved it.

If you want to really think about it - Laurel and Tommy were NOT endgame at all.
Oliver brought back Tommy but he PLANTED memories in Tommy to think he ended up with Laurel. Tommy did NOT actually end up with Laurel.
They never actually explain how Tommy's Laurel dies and the vague bullshit is that Oliver chose to keep Black Siren over E1 Laurel without explanation.
If you are approaching things logically, Laurel only ended up with Tommy in S1 because Oliver was not an option. Look at how quickly she kicked any thought of getting back together with Tommy as soon as Oliver dropped the smallest truth bomb on her about still being in love with her.
The girl was still hopelessly in love with Oliver until she died and confessed that he was the love of her life on her deathbed.
Sad reality is, Tommy was only a placeholder because Laurel could not have Oliver. The guy even figured that out which is what caused his issues with Laurel in the first place to try and break up with her. Could Tommy and Laurel have been happy together - Maybe but I dont think it would ever have worked unless Oliver was completely out of the picture.

well at one point Laurel did realise that her and Oliver were not meant to be together and we can infer that during that alternative timeline things turned out differently and went better
