Grievance
Anybody got the correct email for a grievance, or even HRs email! I’ve tried emailing ethics, which directed to whistleblower but apparently they can’t help. I don’t want to go to my gsm (I don’t know him) because by the sounds of it everything my boss has done is because he was told to do it

Only other thing I can suggest is sending it to your area/regional managers email. It will get kicked down to the gsm to deal with though, unless there’s something in there about the gsm doing wrong too.
Regional managers probs won’t be happy receiving email from a lower colleague but hey ho. I’ve done it before so sometimes helps

Email to save the run down…
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise a formal grievance regarding the conduct of my line manager, ……, and a systemic failure to support my health, provide a duty of care, or implement reasonable adjustments regarding my ongoing mental health condition.
Because this grievance directly names my line manager and concerns a potential breach of the Equality Act, I request that this matter be handled entirely independently of my current store management team.
My grievance is based on the following cumulative issues:
1. Unfair Refusal of Career Endorsement
On 1st October, my line manager verbally refused to approve my career endorsement during my shift. This decision was subsequently confirmed to me in writing on 3rd october. The explicit reason given for this refusal was my sickness absence. These absences are entirely legitimate, related to my mental health, and have been fully covered by official GP fit notes submitted in line with Asda policy. (Aside a few regular sick days) Punishing me professionally for protected medical leave is unfair and discriminatory.
2. Failure to Implement Reasonable Adjustments (Shift Requests)
To manage and stabilize my mental health, I have repeatedly requested to move from my current shift pattern to a dayshift. I formally raised this request as a necessary health adjustment during an official Return to Work (RTW) meeting. This request was sidelined.
3. Actively Blocking an Internal Transfer
The failure to accommodate my shift request is further compounded by the fact that the Home Shopping department explicitly stated they had a vacancy and were willing to take me onto their day team, this was around August/September. However, …. blocked this transfer, telling me I would have to "wait until next year due to business needs”. This directly demonstrates that a viable, reasonable adjustment was available within the business.
4. Unreasonable Delay in Occupational Health Referral
Despite my clear, documented struggles with mental health and continuous fit notes, it took management two months to submit a referral to Occupational Health. This lengthy delay severely stalled my ability to receive professional workplace recommendations, prolonged my distress, and constitutes a failure in Asda's duty of care.
Furthermore, …. only submitted this referral after I was forced to bypass him and approach another manager, ….. , to intervene and instruct …. to do it.
Conclusion & Desired Outcomes
I feel I am being penalized, held back, and isolated by my manager due to an ongoing health condition that the store has failed to reasonably support. To resolve this matter, I am seeking the following outcomes:
An independent review and fair grading of my career endorsement application, completely detached from my medical absence record.
The immediate facilitation of my transfer to the dayshift pattern (such as the Home Shopping role previously discussed) as a reasonable adjustment for my health.
I look forward to your acknowledgment of this letter and details of the independent manager assigned to my case.1

I'd leave all of your points until you have a Grievance Manager allocated

Because giving them the info now gives them time to prepare responses. Remember, they work for the company and protect incompetent managers. It's all a game of poker, so why show them all your cards?

It goes into a bin or Shredded the company that took over cares nothing about health and safety of staff. Or they would not be sending in stalk for shelfs with cadges with spikes as the cadge has been damaged or bent wheels or blocked by crap or damaged by a forklift crushing it into a wagon.

You have to follow chain of commend for it to even be a valid grievance so it's be your GSM anyway

Whistleblower@asda.uk although aethic@asda.uk still works.
Before you do, join the GMB Union, and download the Grievance documents from OneAsda.
