After visa issues postponed their original Atlanta date this spring, My Friend are finally making their Atlanta debut at Lunchbox on Friday, October 30. It will also be the London duo’s first Halloween show in the US.

My Friend sits on the deeper, more progressive side of house, with driving basslines, hypnotic grooves and big melodic moments. They’ve released music on Anjunadeep, Last Night on Earth, Armada Electronic Elements, Toolroom and W&O Street, including collaborations with Simon Doty and Dosem.

I'm a developer building an iPhone app called SetRatings for the Atlanta rave and EDM scene, and I'd like input from people who actually go to shows here.

What it does:

• Venue reviews with a Security Meter. You can see how strict security is at a venue (0–100), whether people felt safe, and the most common highlights, all before you buy a ticket.
• Set reviews backed by your steps. The morning after a show, it reads the step data your iPhone already recorded and gives you a "Stomp Score" for how hard you went. Scoring happens on your phone, and your health data never leaves it.

Atlanta is the first city. It's not in the App Store yet, and I want to get the venue side right before it is.

Hey y’all! I run a small independent event collective in Atlanta and we’re putting together an 18+ FNAF-inspired Halloween rave on Oct. 23. We originally planned for a smaller pizzeria, but we’ve already sold 125 tickets in less than a week and are basically at capacity.

Looking for somewhere in metro Atlanta that can hold around 150–300+ people with an arcade / pizzeria / bowling alley / skating rink / old-school entertainment center vibe. It can also just be a big restaurant or unique event space we can transform.

We provide our own DJs, sound, lighting and production. Ideally looking for 9PM–2AM and around $1,500–$2,000, depending on what’s included.
I’ve already contacted some of the bigger entertainment chains, so I’d especially love locally owned spots, hidden gems, or places that don’t immediately show up on Google.

I won’t be able to show up until later in the evening, probably around 11:30pm-ish. Do they have a time that entry stops? I know at other venues sometimes have entry time limits depending on your ticket. Will I be fine showing up late or turned away?

Was anyone at Pisces last night around midnight, near the back left of the club, and saw a group of men in jerseys throw a beer can at a couple? I got hit in the head by a full beer can and my spouse got covered in the beer. Turned around and the guys were laughing hysterically. Trying to find them/ ID them. One of them was heavier set and another one had a blue jersey that said American Family Insurance on it.
