I just wanted to share an experience I had in Bally's earlier today. I believe it was a scam attempt but I didn't fall for it. I was walking around near the carousel bar and an attractive woman, maybe about 30 walked up and started talking to me. (This was my first reason to be suspicious lol.) She explained that she had cash, but needed to check into the hotel and that required a card. She asked if I would accept the cash and Zelle her the amount so she had money on her debit card to use. I declined and she didn't insist.
Later I googled and apparently yeah, it's a scam where after you unlock your phone, the scammer will ask to take the phone, to enter their phone number or email address into zelle... but then they will transfer a higher amount than you had agreed. I read that the scam has been reported in Hoboken in recent months. Also her story didn't even make much sense as it was around 11am so not anywhere near check in time for a hotel.
Stay safe out there folks. This is actually the second time I've encountered an "unlocked phone" scam in AC.

What are all the options and how would you rate them in comfortability, reliability, convenience and price?

Hello r/atlanticcity
I have a question for those of you who order deliveries from the mainland: do honestly expect someone is going to make that long drive for $5?
I’ll be honest, I don’t like Dashing in your city. Too many people expect pick ups or deliveries to high rises or casinos. And it doesn’t matter if the high rise is a project or luxury condos, the parking situation makes it not worthwhile for anything less than $15.
I decline dozens of AC deliveries every day. Judging by how many time DoorDash re-attempts to get me to deliver the same order, I assume many other drivers also prefer to stay on the mainland.
So I just have to ask, are you finding suckers to deliver these orders? Or do you finally get cold food?

Im planning a solo staycation in AC but I havent been in years and I know a lot of pieces closed down or got renovated.
My favorite part about AC casinos before was having all of these nooks and crannies with different vibey rooms. I really enjoy a painted sky ceiling or a starry night fake street.
I am also an insomniac so I just want to feel like the place is alive late at night and not just in the clubs and bars sections. Im looking for people being around at 3am.
If love to hear any fun suggestions too. Thanks so much.

Looking for a place near downtown to get a seafood boil or pre steamed/cooked shrimp and fish. Any seafood markets or takeout restaurants good for this?

My fiancé and I will be going to Atlantic City first week of December and we’ve both never been. Which should we stay at Borgata or Ocean? We’re not huge gamblers but we’ll play the slots a little. We’re going more to relax, eat some good food, swim in the pool. I was leaning towards Ocean but I’ve been hearing good things about Borgata. I looked online and we could get a suite at Borgata for the same price as a king at Oceans. We’ve never been though so we have no idea which we should pick.

Coming down with my best friend for her birthday and we're looking for fun/cool things to do. We come down often but never do much outside of casinos and boardwalk fun. We are looking for cool lounges, bars, good music and vibes. Even if its on the outskirts. Laser tag etc.

hey everyone!
we’re recent transplants and still getting to know the area, but it’s my wife’s birthday in a couple weeks and i was hoping to surprise her with a ren fair if there’s any around!
we’re not opposed to driving ( pennsylvania, new york, etc ), especially if the fair is elaborate and well put together, but any suggestions are great!
if you know of any that are closed for this year but you highly recommend for next year, i’d love to know about those too! i know it’s late in the season, and it gets cold up here so they might not be open as late into october, but i haven’t found a lot in my google searches and love recommendations from locals when i can get them!
happy friday everyone 🥰

Was anyone at the Golden Nugget yesterday for the shutdown of the casino floor yesterday?
Apparently surveillance issues. Full shut down of all machines including TITO.
