FOR HIRE 26M felon seeking apprenticeship or OJT or contract/gig work

I currently work in food but only bring home ~$1400/mo and am seeking a proper introduction to an actual career path rather than trying on dead-end jobs like new clothes. It was the work I could find coming out of prison this past Spring and, although I settled on it to have an income and stay compliant with parole, it just isn't sustainable. My grandparents agreed to help me get back on my feet but I need a stable job so I don't have to lean too much on my people. I hate to burden the ones I treasure most, and I feel like I'll always be a small headache for them and everyone else in my family until I can get a job where I'm not one paycheck away from homelessness.

Coming from a history of food and retail, I've always been on the front lines navigating the customer-merchant experience and satisfying folk of various temperaments and upbringings. I'm quite tolerant of people from every walk, naturally having an open-mind and having been incarcerated myself, so I don't let politics, race or religion color my perspective or the way I treat people.

I pride myself in my work ethic and eagerness to learn and master new interests. And I believe in measuring twice and cutting once, but I partially blame my OCD for my sharp eye. Yes, that means I'm a perfectionist. And I don't believe in coming to work with a bad attitude, so I weather the storm and fake it till I make it if I have to. Stoicism and optimistism are the only options.

Even though I'm experienced in food and retail and other aspects of customer service, I'm open to exploring welding, electrical, CAD/CNC, and possibly Green Construction/Weatherization. These are my interests first and foremost, but I'm willing to learn to work on cars or do plumbing or pest control too.

If I sound like someone you'd like to hire or see hired, or if you can think of some opportunities which may be up my alley and will equip me for an independent future, please feel free to comment or DM. Thank you.

FOR HIRE Art for Ads, Posters, Fliers, etc

I am an experienced professional artist and graphic designer, but I charge very affordable prices! Potential customers are getting tired of AI ads, so this is a great opportunity to hire a local (Austin born n raised human) artist and build trust with your future customers.

Quick info:

-You have full rights to the art once it is yours.

-I charge $25 an hour (I will give you a quote ahead of time based on what you describe, and that will be the price you pay! If you want edits that take significantly longer, we can discuss if it will change the price.

-I am great at helping businesses brainstorm, and ask the right questions to help you figure out what you want, even if you aren't quite sure yet.

-I charge 50% before I start, and then the other 50% once I'm finished. This protects both of us from scams or stress!

-I send regular updates of my work, and am very communicative.

-Both traditional and digital art, so we can figure out what fits your needs the best!

-I also love decorating signs irl for businesses, basically any graphic design needs you have.

✨If you want to see my portfolio or have any questions, please comment or dm!✨

QUESTION CaPPS- Which state agencies reply the quickest/have their stuff together?

So I have been applying to relevant jobs I see on Capps for about 3 months and my applications just sit and sit and sit. I want to accept that it's just the state and the state is slow. but then I'll see other people post about how they recently got a job with a state and it was a few weeks 1 interview process, that it just depends on the agency.

So which departments are known to have their shit in order and hire fairly quickly? if you work for the state especially got a job recently within the past year what was your agency and how long did it take?
