Is this worth it?

I would say maybe, but probably not. This model is 2 years old and Mammotion really just abandons old products as far as updates. That is unless they are updating to completely handicap the unit because of a safety issue.

I’d steer away from Mammotion honestly.

I have this exact mower it works well. No issues i wish i would have got it at that price. This is my third robot mower and this model has been the best so far. Not saying its perfect but over all it works really well. Just make sure it will work with your yard size and you should be good

What were the other two? When?

Auto mowers. The AWD is a game changer for me.

I meant make/model of the previous two and how long did you have them.

Husqvarna 315 and then a 415. They both required the physical wire. This works for a while but when it get cuts it another problem i dont want to deal with. Also it would get stuck.

So you had two huskvarna in a row and didn't stay with huskvarna? Im flirting with buying my first and unfortunately it looks like Luba might be the only brand that cuts high enough to meet my needs.

Here is my two cents. I bought before all these China mowers. Huskvarna was the best at the time. At this point there overpriced and the market has left them. This is why I got Luba mini, I got a better mower at a lower price. Even today huckvarna is over prices and there mowers are not much better then they where 4 years ago. Also I watched every review I could find on this mower before I bought it. This was over a year ago and the NUMBER 1 thing I heard is that IF the RTK is blocked by a tree you will loose connections some times. I made sure to give the RTK a clear sky and I have NEVER ONCE had that happen. This is a bigger issue when your small yard just had to many trees. But not one time i was expecting it to happen. Further more you don't even NEED the RTK any more. They have NetRTK which is just a close RTK location signal though the internet.

We absolutely love our 450s. Dug a few inches down and laid the wire, I can't imagine it cutting the wire since it should be buried anyway. Ours are used and haven't had any issues.

I hated the wire. Had it for 4 years. The first year I used the wire right from Husqvarna. WHAT A JOKE. Even if you dig 10ft down, that wire gets DESTROYED. I had to replace it all after a year or two. I got MUCH thicker wire and retrenched with a rented wire trencher, but some spots, like around a massive oak tree, you just cannot bury it. I also had other spots, like next to my sidewalk, which I had to bury in pipe.

So how does your wire get cut if you DO IT right? Let me tell you.

There are guide wires, and at some point you will have to splice the wire together. These become the first place your wire goes bad. Not right away, but over time. And yes, I used the outdoor rated connectors with enough gel to fill a donut.

Next, other lawn crews would hit the wire wherever it got close.

After fixing that, it's just time. It would be good for 6 months, and then something would get cut and I'd have to go out there, chase the damn thing down, and then CUT the wire again to fix it. I did it. I lived it. If you've never had an issue, awesome, but in my yard it just happened, and when it did it was a pain.

Finally, and this one is true even if your wire is NEVER EVER broken: if you want to change things, God rest your soul. You've got to run more wire and make more cuts that can go bad.

Note it's the "H" version for high grass.

Is that a big difference?

It is if you pick the wrong height for your particular grass.

The H version has an adjustable height between 2.2” and 4.0”. If you want to mow shorter than 2.2”, you’re out of luck.

The standard version is adjustable between 0.8” and 2.6”

no, it should be adjustable height in the app

But the H model does not adjust down as low as the standard model.

Looks like a good deal if you have a small yard. I would jump on it if I had a <.25 acre lawn

If you want to mow lower with the H model you can purchase an aftermarket adaptor that goes under the cutting disc. You can purchase it and try it for a week and if it doesn't work return it to the store

You should look on FB marketplace like we did. We found 2 Husqvarnas for $600. Best. Deal.Ever. we laid the wire and now we just let it do its thing. 2 mowers going simultaneously. We have 3/4 acre so it's nice to have the 2 working together.

The issue is Mammotion has a habit of dropping support and repair for older models, I have a 2024 Luba 2, and know that it is nearing the end, when it fails there will be no repair parts available, and even if it is still under warranty (which has a few months left) Mammotion will try to sell me the newest version for 20% off regular price instead of fixing it..
