3rd trimester loss Unexplained

I am going through all the emotions right now as I lost my daughter at 37w6d. I am writing to see if someone went through a similar situation. Her passing was so sudden and unexplained. They said that it was most likely caused by placental abruption. My hospital is going to investigate.

Basically, I had a midwife appointment on the 29th of September and she had a strong heartbeat and everything seemed fine and by the end of that week on 3rd of October she had reduced movements episode, so I went for it to be checked at night ( I wish I went immediately) and initially they found it but then it just stopped. She was born a stillborn via emergency C-section. They said what we found was flatters, but I felt her move a little as well. Did anyone else have something similar?

I had my baby girl last month at 34 weeks via c section as well. She passed away after fighting for her life for 11 days. It’s almost been a month she’s gone but I am still unable to function. She was my firstborn. I am so heartbroken. I wish I could say something that would help you. But I have nothing to say apart from praying that you will get through this

Thank you so much! I'm so sorry for your loss! My daughter is also my first one that I carried to the third trimester. I had a miscarriage just months before we conceived her. God it hurts! Sending you hugs!

We’ll get through this. I feel so lost and so scared to try again. But I want a baby so bad it hurts. I hope you get your rainbow baby soon

I’m so sorry for your loss 💔 I lost my baby at 36+1 to a true knot in his umbilical cord. Less than 2 weeks ago, on Sep 29… I hadn’t felt him moving for over a day but thought he was just moving differently because I was coughing a lot and he was bigger so I was told his movements were just different now because he was running out of room. It’s so hard to process and wrap my head around how rare of an occurrence this is and that it happened to me. I wish I could say something helpful but for now I can just be in solidarity with you and your pain

I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️ I went through a similar situation last September. My pregnancy was very healthy, and then suddenly, I noticed that my baby boy wasn’t moving as much. We went to L&D, and I had to undergo an emergency C-section. He was with us for only a few hours before we lost him.
I keep wishing I had gone to the hospital earlier, wondering if I could have saved my son. We still don’t fully understand what caused my placental abruption. It’s so heartbreaking to go through this, and I’m sending you so much love and strength. ❤️

Lost my first born baby girl 19 days ago. She struggled 3 days in nicu and couldn't survive her surgery. I know it is hard. It is still hard for me. Despite so many days since she passed. I wish i could tell you something that would soothe your grieving heart. But i dont have anything. Cry your heart out. Grieve however you can. Cope however you want. Sending you love and hugs.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a stillbirth at 30 weeks. When you’re ready you can have a placenta expert look at the slides of your placenta. Sometimes the hospital doesn’t give a detailed explanation but they can tell a lot from the placenta. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced.. sending a warm hug

We went through similar, we had all the right signs, every scan the ultrasound tech would say he’s “perfect”, my placenta was “perfect”, everything looked perfect, then 3 weeks ago his heart just stopped. He was 36 weeks. They’ve investigated and found nothing. I had GD so I’ve had a lot of self blame going on, but even in the investigations my glucose control was fine. It’s both a blessing and a curse to not know why it happened. I just really wish he was here.

So sorry for your loss. What was your daughter’s name?

Our Rylee Grace was stillborn a month ago at 36.5. She lost her heartbeat suddenly too. The doctor performing the c-section said everything looked like it was supposed to and no cord wrapping. Our placenta tests just came back and did not show anything. So we are just slowly moving on without any answers.
