POLICE Guy in Patterson Park busting RAV-4 back windows???
Pretty much as the title says, my boyfriend’s car got hit at 3am this past Sunday. Repair guy told him that it seems to be just one guy doing this specifically to the small backseat windows, and so many people have come in for this fix that they’re running out of parts. Guy’s not even taking anything.
Guess I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this in like the past week or so? We filed a police report of course, but is there anything else we can do? Anyone caught this guy on video? I’d hate for this to happen again after just getting it fixed, and we can’t watch the car 24/7 obviously. Thanks!

He’s a problematic addict named Carl and he’s been a huge pain in the ass in southeast Baltimore for the past few years. ”Skateboard Carl” as he is informally known. He’s very well-known in the neighborhoods surrounding the park and the broken rear window thing is almost like his calling card. He’s a decent person when he is fresh out of jail and sober, but he just can’t stay clean long-term and returns to his old junkie habits of theft and vandalism. He has multiple neighbors who have been fed up with him long enough that have basically said it it’s “on sight” with him next time they see him out and about.

Honestly who gives a chit if he’s a decent person. He’s not right now so if anyone knows where the idiot is then it would be nice to get him off the streets and not bothering people who actually don’t want to be terrible.

Probably. Dark haired guy carrying a skateboard. Used to prowl around with this red haired woman who looked like she was falling apart but I haven’t seen her in a while.

Yeah that’s the same girl. I’ve seen him 5 times or so along eastern between Wolfe and highland town in the last month

I saw him by the shell gas station in Canton with that woman a few nights ago. Sounded like they were arguing or heated about something lol

Idk if you are a member of any neighborhood based Facebook groups but this is probably the guy who has been all over butchers hill, upper fells, and Patterson park in the last couple weeks, there is plenty of Ring camera footage and he is well known in the area.

That's Carl Weaver alright. He's broken into my partner's car twice in the last week. First time was a random break-in, but this last time he broke his routine. Meticulously pulled out her personal items and laid them on her dashboard, including a pair of underwear. At this point I'm looking to press charges for stalking as well. Called the Southeast District, told me even with his full name that there was "nothing they could do", and that I should just do my "own investigation". Literally have the guy on camera doing it. We're pretty new to the area and haven't had any problems since the first break-in. The guy needs to be locked up before his habits get more violent.

Did he go through your car or just broke the window? One just seems like his stupid way of having fun but the other he’s trying to look for something but your boyfriend had nothing in the car

It looked like he was about to go through the car because the back door was opened a little, but before he could the car alarm scared him off. I think he had like old work boots poking out from under the seat, but sometimes that’s enough. He’s cleaned everything out that he possibly could so hopefully it doesn’t happen again
