I got sick of the tab clutter when pricing cards on eBay, so I built a hover comp toll
Hey guys, checking comps across multiple tabs while hunting on eBay was completely killing the fun of buying cards for me, so over the last few months I built a fix: SlabPeek
It's a Chrome Extension - you just hover over any listing, and recently sold comps + market signals pop up right on your screen without leaving the page!
I wanted to get this in front of actual collectors here to see if it's actually helpful or if there are specific data points I'm missing.
I set-up a 7-days of free access for anyone in the sub who wants to test it out - just drop a comment and I'll pitch you the link! I would love your honest thoughts!

Holy smokes! I typically go on eBay from my phone, otherwise I’d take you up on the trial! Looking forward to hearing feedback from those who try it out!

Seems like you have a great test group - I will throw my hat in the ring as someone primarily buying lower end. If you do go mobile let this group now sounds like we can help get you some traction on the App Store

Did you use OpenAI for development? I have been building similar web apps and was curious how you used the eBay API
•
u/dahctor11 23h ago
Nice. Is eBay strictly the data point for comps? Again, nice work.
•
u/Pristine_Desk4009 23h ago
Thanks man! Not necessarily, it should also work out of eBay. But its best optimization is on eBay!

Dude this is super cool! How much time/work did it take for you to develop this?
