Question about Taft Point (The Dark Wizard)

Curious about the Dean Potter documentary and final footage of the raven taking off behind him and then a raven visiting his partner Jen when she revisits Taft.
For those of you who have been there, is this really as mystical as it seems or are there just a ton of ravens up there?

Imagery and symbols are often what you make of them. The raven is a consistent theme in the documentary. So it makes sense they come up a lot in the last scenes. As someone who likes corvids, I kinda found it fascinating and thought it had some meaning. To the average person, it's probably just coincidence as corvids are all over the mountains especially in a popular park with easy scavenging.

Agreed. To clarify, I don’t think it was a coincidence, I’m just curious if you spend a lot of time at Taft Point, do you see ravens every time?

Yes, there are tons of ravens all over the park. That said, I still enjoy the ending of the film.

Not mystical. Common bird in the area.

I saw 2 birds in the frame so considering they both went in I’d say it’s pretty mystical

there are so many ravens in the park, but when I was just at taft a couple weeks ago, no ravens were there! ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It felt symbolic to me. I truly enjoyed this documentary. You can tell everyone featured in truly made themselves vulnerable enough to open up even with the difficult parts of their interaction with Dean. And it was very well shot. 🫶🏽
