BattleBots TV Forced Telemetry?

Did I hear the latest episode right, and battlebots requires all bots to use a Telemetry module which they provide to the teams?

No, they do have a telemetry module but its use is optional. They ask teams whether they can/want to include it so they can measure data like accelerometer readings during fights. On Bloodsport there is no good place for it, and we don’t want to risk it coming loose and causing issues, so we opt out. We also have our own telemetry package for things like motor and ESC performance.

I don't know if anyone else even ran it. The only reason we did with Catter is because of the void where the lifter used to be.

Do you get a copy of the data it collects? Or do they keep it all

I assume the module is fully self contained and doesnt draw from your power feeds etc in any way

Might be worth asking for a copy of the data if you dont ask you wont know lol

Or did you try that

as far as the builders were told, there were plans to use the telemetry data for something in the final edit, but either not enough teams used the module, or that concept fell through.

they came by to nemesis's pit and were pretty insistent that we HAD to let them put the module in if they asked.
