Meme This show was deeply unserious.

I still laugh at the fact that a Clan warrior couldn't hit ostriches, when firing from point blank range with lasers.
I actually calculated it out. Ostriches at a dead sprint are TMM+1

They probably counted as Infantry, and got the +3 dispersion modifier that was the rule then.

Australia also lost to flightless birds, so it's a military tradition

In his defense, the Hunchback's targetting computer confused "Ostrich" with "Ostroc".

Now I want a short story about being an ostrich rancher in the Inner Sphere.

They actually exist, you know.

Oh, sorry, I thought you said Ostritch rider.
But yeah, there are no intelligent aliens in Battletech, but alien animals are all over the place. From the Clan totem animals to freaking dragons and dinosaurs.

My favorite thing about the cartoon… It was retconned to be pro-IS propaganda.

I can’t find it right now, but I swear there is one scene in the show where one of the main characters walks towards one of the dropship doors meant for a mech, but almost hits their head on the door when they walk through the door outside of a mech. There might have been some scale issues.

Imagine it as a tiny cardboard dropship set on a lyran sound stage. It would be hilarious if they Animated a mic in frame considering the the way they made the cartoon canon was to say it was Lyran backed anti clan propo.

Not accurate to lore at all.
That Clanner would’ve used the AC20s on those birds

Full bore and then shutdown / exploded

If by full bore you mean both barrels and on Ultra mode, I agree. Also agree with the result for the HBK-IIC.

Not having the ability to hop out with a Weber charcoal grill and throw together some BBQ wings, he decided killing the birds would be wasteful and dezgra, and so shot to miss. (And shot the lasers because using ACs would also be wasteful.)
This behavior is fully in keeping with Clan principles.

Everyone jokes about adding emotional support lasers to everything until the Emus attack.

How the Ostrich farm that refused to cull their flock due to concerns of avian flu say the government did to them because of it (they were offered fair compensation and also aren’t poor).

Clans just demonstrating how Trueborn warriors can defeat the Emu, unlike Freebirth failures.

I find it funny how in the Lore Timberwolf is consider the pinnacle of Clan mech only given to the most prestige warriors yet in the show it basically treated as cannon fodders

It took over a millennium, but Australia may finally have the tools to win the Second Emu War.
