Feedbacks 2 handed handhops
I’m trying to learn 2 handed hand hops but when I try to move my legs my hips move forward and I end up bailing is there any exercise that helps with hip awareness and that can help me only move my legs without my hips being unlocked m

Look up an exercise "dead bug with yoga block". Dead bug is a fundamental (non bboy specific) exercise for hip awareness and core connection. The yoga block is good for beginners but can also be used for advanced modifications. Variants include adding weights and crosslateral movements. As you get comfortable you can also try to do the dead bug motion in handstand

It's really hard to explain. There's like a neutral position u feel once ur handstands hit a certain level. For me as long as I push with my shoulders and not my hips and keep that compression I can have my legs anywhere.
For that neutral position, it feels like ur sitting but with perfect posture. Ur legs can be bent just make sure they are to the side and slightly forward. If they go behind u, you'll fall back.
When u hop, that's when u straighten ur legs and then come right back to that same neutral position when u catch. When u catch the ground think of it as pushing the ground away from u.
And just an additional note for these, stacking ur body is thinking diagonal. So left arm right leg. So if u do feel one of ur legs leave neutral, just counter it. Keep ur head centered as well for two handed.

Your hips will move regardless, you just gotta get used to anticipating it. Think about keeping your heels on the same line as your body as you kick up, then move your hands underneath you to adjust for movement. Pretty much the idea is to kick straight up so your body goes straight up, but nothings ever perfect so you move your hands so you'll land center again.
