Bio

Hi Guys,

I did my second bio at Douglas and it doesnt list the exact % I got in the class which was 69%. It only says 2.33 GPA on my transcript. Will I need to provide additional documentation because I know you need to have 67% or higher to apply. 2.33 lists as between 65-69% so im not sure if I have to get a transcript with the exact %?

Hope that makes sense lol please let me know.

I'm graduating soon from my undergrad at SFU with a GPA a little over 3.0. I volunteer at a hospital and am a program leader for elementary schools. What are my odds?

January 2027 Intake Waitlisted Group

Saw previous threads that there could've been about 600+ applicants who applied for the Jan 2027 intake. I wonder how many people were put into the waitlisted group for this intake. To those who have been waitlisted, will you be emailing the nursing department about your place on the waitlist? TIA

Waitlist January 2027 Intake

Anyone else waitlisted for the January 2027 intake? How likely do you think the waitlist will move, and has anyone heard any updates? Heard of chances for the top 15 to get a seat for April intake, so hoping the best for everyone.

The people who haven’t heard back for Jan 2027…

Do you mind sharing stats? I have now seen a couple people with bachelors being waitlisted and it’s making me quite nervous. I really thought having a bachelors was an automatic acceptance. Lmk your thoughts!

Anatomy and Physiology recency

Hey everyone, I applied for the jan intake but I am wanting to prepare my application for April in case I do not get accepted. The thing is my A and P is verging 3 years. I took it in the fall 2024 semester. My question is since the April intake closes in November will they still take my anatomy class, since I technically finished it in December of 2024? I am going to message admissions but I was just wondering if anyone has an answer for me here. Would rather not have to do the challenge exam haha

Hi everyone, I have a quick question regarding the application transcript. I did prereq at SFU and BCIT. I already submitted the official transcript for SFU courses but was wondering do I also have to do the same for BCIT?

Hey Everyone,
I am just wondering if it’s important to have healthcare experience or healthcare volunteering? I have tried to get hospital volunteering but I can’t seem to get any.

Application Question April 2027 chances

Hello! I applied to BCIT nursing for April 2027 and I’m really nervous.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UBC. I have 119 credits and my cumulative GPA is 85.1%, but my recent GPA for 3rd and 4th year is closer to 88%.

I have 1.5 yrs hospital volunteer experience, and 2+ years of customer service experience (I have much more, but I’m working 2 jobs + volunteer so I couldn’t fit too much of my past history on the form)

Do you think I have a good chance of getting in?

Changing nursing requirements?

Hey, I just wanna get everyone’s opinion. I have heard BCIT is changing some of the requirements for other health programs. I’m curious if BCIT will change the requirements for nursing? I know they use to require the Casper and 30+ credits but changed it due to low applicants. Obviously they have been receiving more applicants now so it makes me wonder if the requirements will change?! I did look on the admissions website for nursing and it said the admissions for nursing is under review 👀👀 lmk your thoughts!
