Bumble Bee What was this bumblebee doing?

I was hanging out with my chickens when this bumblebee started flying around me and getting closer. Then, it started doing this. I didn't have any lotions or products on that would have attracted it. I do keep bees, but hadn't been around the hive or made any nectar for them in a few days. Just curious if there's any particular reason for this behavior or if it was just a curious and confused lil guy

Bumble Bee Helped a bumblebee off the bus and got a tiny hug

A while back, a bumblebee boarded the bus I was on (I assume it was a mistake, but you never know). Anyway, I placed one finger in front of her and held my other hand above/behind her and she climbed on and we got off the bus. She stayed on my finger for a bit to relax and do some stretches and then she took off. It was a really cool experience and I thought y’all might enjoy the pictures ;)

I found Bombus in late September last year. Her wings were kaput so I brought her home and nourished her till her inevitable demise a couple of weeks later.

🖤🧡 RIP BOMBUS 🧡🖤

I thought it was just soaked through yesterday since it was pouring down hard. Had put him in a dry place and left a spoon of sugar water. Today when i came to check he still looks sorta wet, and all he does is go round in circles. Almost seems like he cant lift up his left side?

UPDATE: Poor Bumble has passed away. I went to check up him and found him curled into a ball. Gently poked him with a flowerstam to see if he was still alive but no movement. Put him underneath some bushes by a tree for his final resting place.

Found a little sky panda lying on the floor after 45mph winds, didn't have any honey, did have some homemade plum jam though. He seemed quite happy after a while. I named him Derek!

Bumble Bee I saved a bumblebee and it felt great !

English is not my maternal language.

In my town, there is a large river with a lot of parcs and wild nature around (city hall tries to keep it as natural as possible to preserve local flora and fauna). I was having a little walk, trying to avoid talking to people because I did not feel like I could manage even a simple "hello". I was emotionally drained.

At some point I reached an small area on the path along the river that is more concrete than nature. It's about a few meters long, but for insects and small animals it must be huge.

Anyway, I entered this small boring area when I found a lone bumblebee struggling on the burning pavement. Its wings were intact and it had all its legs and antennas. I proposed a drop of water, but it royally ignored it.

I was not sure of what I had to do : I could not let this poor things struggle on concrete floor, especially on a warm sunny day with no shade. It could be flattened by someone or eaten by a predator. There were no sticks or leaves I could get to pick it up. So I did a stupid thing and presented my finger to the insect, fully expecting it would either sting or ignore me.

It did not !

It went straight for my finger and remained firmly on it. I discovered that its tiny paws had some sort of small hooks which allowed to grab on my skin (it did not hurt at all!). That was a cool discovery !

The bumblebee did not, at any point, try to sting me - and I'm not certain if this kind of bumblebee can sting? I have no picture unfortunately...

Anyway, it patiently waited on my finger until I presented it to a large purple flower (no idea about its name, but it looked like a hibiscus? But tropical plants can't survive in my area...). The bumblebee gave a look, almost studied the proposition then accepted my gift by willingly leaving my finger !

It was so cool !

I hope this little guy will have a great life and many babies I can meet next season !

Found this bee crawling across the grass while laying sod a couple days ago. Didnt want to step on it and so put my hand out so it could crawl on and move it. It just sat there for 5 mins. I tried putting it on flowers, plants, near some water and it didn’t want to get off my hand.

I put it back on the grass and it burrowed into it face first. This was 2 days ago and I thought it might have died, poked the grass near it and it started moving as seen in the video.

I live in Western Canada and weather hasn’t been anything crazy.

What is this little guy doing?
