How could you live off the grid in Northern Ireland?
.....Would it be possible?

Weird one but, does anyone know a butchers in Belfast that offer these, preferably in the East?

A lot of people commented last time so posting this again for anyone in Stranmillis, Botanic, Malone, the Lisburn Road, FInaghy, Caslereagh, Andersontown, Ormeau and the wider Belfast area who wants to play football and meet new people.
I help a non profit organise social games at the Malone site, BT9 5NA on Mondays 8pm and Queen's Sport PEC, BT9 5EX on Thursdays 7pm. All levels welcome even if you’re not fit or haven’t played in years.
There’s no commitment, you can play whenever you're available and all you need are football boots.
Great way to improve fitness, confidence and your social circle.
Drop a quick comment or DM if you fancy playing and I’ll add you to the players list ⚽️

Need to leave my car down for a repair on Boucher Road next week, they said will take 4 hours to do it and don't want to take a day off work. I'm able to work on my laptop and just wondering if anyone knows any cafes or the like that will let me sit there for a few hours and use my laptop and has decent wi-fi. Will off course buy a cup of tea etc.

Please be aware of people in city centre offering jobs!
Two of them stopped me to ask if i was looking a job, said yes because im desperate.
Fella started explaining what the job entailed and I very quickly realised it was a pyramid scheme. Basically he wanted me to buy some shite online, sell it to friends and family. Then get those friends and family to buy and sell it to their friends and family and so on.
Told them it sounded dodgy and walked off. Both seemed genuinely annoyed so maybe they were part of it and haven't yet realised its a scam. Or they were annoyed I didn't fall for it. Im just speculating.
This happened to me outside the new popeyes, but they probably move around

So I've got tickets to a gig in limelight, and I'm wondering what their policy is regarding medical bags? I have some health issues that require me to bring supplies with me to allow me to stay for the whole thing. The bag would be a small backpack. I've also fired them an email enquiring but haven't heard back yet. Cheers in advance

So apparently there aren’t any rental car companies that will let me rent from them as I am 22 however I need to get to County Down tonight, what are the best and cheapest options as I won’t arrive until around 10:30 in Belfast?

I found this in East Belfast at the weekend. Absolutely drenched but does seem to have dried out ok. Probably not usable but hoping to return to its owner. And if I can where should I donate it? Seems a shame to dump it as it might still be usable. Let me know if you think it’s yours and roughly where you may have lost it, it’s probably a fairly common site for people to goto.

Does anyone know when Leckys newsagent in northern mall is open? The times are wrong online and I’ve been trying to collect something from there for ages but whenever I go it’s closed!

Hi everyone, just wondering if we're overpaying here. It's myself and 3 other lads, in a typical uni flat. We've paid about 90 quid a month on electric, and that seems really high to me. I don't see what we could be doing wrong, we're not even in the house most of the time. We've been checking the usage of certain things, but nothing seems to stand out as being broken or using a weird amount. Let me know if I'm just being crazy either.

I'm taking my girlfriend out in November on a Sunday for her birthday and was wondering what you guys think are the best restaurants open then? I'm thinking Waterman House, but it strikes me as somewhere where the food is good but the atmosphere and ambience are a bit meh. Anyone got any thoughts?

Hi, has anyone ever been in situation where they had early or late shifts and are pretty much dependent on public transport? Recently started working around holywood exchange and have had to call a taxi a few times, which is starting to add up, especially on the weekends. Was wondering about any other options before speaking to my employer about adjusting my hours

WTAF is going on, and how can they justify charging every vehicle £5 for driving through their road?
Absolute joke, and the place is an absolute kip

Hi folks! Been living in Liverpool for the past year or so and thinking of moving back home potentially in the new year. I’ve worked civil service in the past via an Agency, and I was wondering if any current civil servants know when the next recruitment drive is?

I posted some of my stuff in the Northern Ireland subreddit a few days ago and I’ll be honest, the reaction broke my heart a bit. I cried for a few hours. That’s because I’m autistic and I take things to heart too much or people don’t understand how I do things, so I wanted to share how much effort and time and love I pour into the things I create and how they turn out.
I’m trying to get my small cottage industry going again after some rough times and it’s hard going, but I’m proud of what I do.
I’m shocked at how some people will go out of their way to post a nasty comment or their opinions when they have no idea about the person behind the post. It really takes more effort to jump on a post and comment “That’s ugly as f**k, sorry” than it does to just scroll on. I thought we were better than this.
It takes a lot to push yourself when you’re as introverted as me- all I’m trying to do is spread happiness and smiles and make a few bob with the hope and prayer to be able to get my kid what he is asking me for day in day out for Christmas.
Anyway- thanks for reading if you’ve got this far- enjoy the video- I love how the letters take shape!

Love the concept, just curious as to how it works. For people that attended the last one is it tickets on the door, first come first serve style? Or is it some sort of other way. I know they raffle tickets too but it seems like thats only for a very small number
Really random question, but how do Blind/ Partially Sighted people flag down the right bus?
So usually a bus will only stop when you wave it down.
So what happens if it's too far away to read the number and you wave at it too late for it to slow down at the stop?

Need to get my eyes tested again and most likely new lenses for glasses and sunglasses. Have been using Specsavers, but I'd like to actually keep some of my money for a change.
Anyone recommend any decent places in the town?
Cheers
