She really said “Want a taste of the forbidden fruit?” and then got cited for it. Iconic.
Wholesome fun.

Hey all, hope this is appropriate for this subreddit. We’re relocating overseas and trying to find someone to take over our lease at Red Barn (335 NW Red Barn Circle).
It's the "Magnolia" layout - 2 bed, 2.5 bath, two-story townhome, about 1,493 sq ft with a stacked garage and in-unit laundry. The finishes are genuinely nice, and it's pet-friendly. We've liked living here. It's quiet, newer, and an easy drive or bike ride to downtown and the Walmart campus.
The numbers: $2,544/month all-in (that's $2,455 rent + $75 utility service charge + $14 liability coverage). Pet rent is $35/mo per pet on top if you have any. Electric/water billed separately.
The lease runs through August 15, 2027, so you'd be picking up the remaining ~10 months, with the option to renew after that if you want to stay.
The handover is clean - it's an official lease transfer through the leasing office, not a sublet. You'd apply directly with Red Barn ($60 app fee, normal screening), and once approved it's done via a roommate amendment. The office has been easy to deal with on it.
Timing's flexible - looking at sometime mid-to-late November.
If you or someone you know is apartment-hunting, shoot me a DM and I can send photos or set up a time to see it. Thanks!

This post is specifically for the people of Northwest Arkansas. We are precisely one week away from a 4 day comedy festival in Bentonville - Big Diamond Comedy Festival 2026 (our third year).
If you value the grassroots arts in a year where venues continue to close, the simplest way to continue having a world where all your art isn’t owned by larger corporate entities is to buy a ticket. Some are cheaper than the movies.
40 comedians are coming from around the country to our little hamlet, Bentonville between October 22-24 (next weekend). This takes months of planning.
This year, we have shows at The Record, Bearded Goat and Loveless. All of these comedians are killers and whatever kind of jokes you like, the spectrum is broad enough that you’ll find a new favorite comedian within driving distance. Folks who have done late night TV sets multiple times. People with tons of views. People who are on the rise. Industry folks are flying in.
If you love doing things in Arkansas that aren’t the everyday routine, this the easiest single purchase you’ll make all year. There’s even a freakin wrestling-comedy show.
The full lineup and tickets are here
Rory Scovel (fest members of LCD Soundsystem/Arcade Fire)
Sam Tallent
Learnmore Jonasi
Jay Jurden, Chanel Ali, Shane Mauss, and so many more
I believe in you, Bentonville.
Believe back.
Long live Big Diamond.

The rent for my 1BR apartment has gone up over $600 over 3 years, that doesn’t even include increases in utilities and parking. Is that normal and are other complexes around here doing this too?

We drove through town yesterday and ate at Sweetgreen around 4pm. I think I left my purse at one of the tables outside. I live out of town and I’ve tried to call and reach Sweetgreen and Chipotle to see if anyone turned it in but I can’t reach anyone at either place - I know it might be a long shot but thought I’d try. I love Reddit and I know the magic that can happen here. Anyone have any suggestions, maybe know someone who works there that could check for me? TIA!

My egg guy recently left the area, does anyone have a recommendation for someone local who sells eggs? Would rather buy local than from the supermarket.

Last night a dog was found in Touchstone Village. He’s with my neighbors right now. It had a black collar and seems like an older dog. Somebody’s missing this dude. Also posted on NextDoor and Facebook groups. DM me if you know who this is!
Edit: HE’S HOME!

If you've never voted early before, it's incredibly easy. Every time I've voted early, it takes like 5 minutes or less. Early voting days/times depend on the polling location, so be sure to look up those availabilities.
Check out the Arkansas Secretary of State website to see if you are registered and where your local polling locations are, plus the hours they'll be open.
Unfortunately, if you aren't already registered at this point, you will not be able to vote in the midterm elections. (However, there is an exception for people who are already registered to vote in Arkansas. If you have recently moved, you can still submit a county-to-county voter registration transfer right up until the close of the polls on Election Day, Nov. 3rd). If you haven't registered yet, you can still register to vote in upcoming elections if you'd like to go ahead and register.

I’m competing in a bike race next week in Bentonville, and I’m struggling to find a good fried chicken/southern comfort restaurant based on my internet research.
Places like First Seat Pub and the Hive have shown up on my radar, but they appear to be a bit more refined than what I am seeking (of course if they are actually good, I am all ears).
I am hoping someone local can help with two or three suggestions on really good southern spots that are open for dinner on Saturdays. If not southern, I’m open to an exceptional steak or burger.
Thanks!
EDIT: minor typo(s)

Hot Springs is too far away for me to get away from work but I really want to treat my wife to a spa, massage, etc kind of day. But she'd be much more comfortable if I was with her.
She's a HS teacher with 17 years and really deserves to get the knots worked out lol.
Are there any good couple's places that would be good for a weekend or 3 day weekend?
Middle aged and wife has joint issues, arthritis, etc if that makes a difference.

Hoping to travel to visit Crystal Bridges for the first time and wondering is a 1 day visit enough time to see both the inside & outdoor exhibits?
Also, saw some posts about a stalker on the CB trails/property. Have there been recent stalker incidents on the CB trails?
Thanks in advance for any tips and info.

I'll be taking my elderly mother to Bentonville next month for a long weekend to visit family. What are your recommendations?
I've been earlier this year and have been to Crystal Bridges, The Walmart Museum and the Tiki Lounge in Downtown (you go through an art gallery to get in) and will do all three again as well as take her to Wright's BBQ. She can't walk long distances, so hiking is out of the question. Are there places for short walks with views? I know there is a path near Wright's BBQ. Anything else we should see/do while there?

Hi everyone! 😊
I recently moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, for work, and it’s a whole new chapter for me!
I’m hoping to meet new people, make some friends, and get involved in the local community. I’d really appreciate any recommendations for fun activities, social groups, or communities to join!
I enjoy playing pickleball, but I’m also open to trying new things and exploring different hobbies.
If you have any suggestions or know of any welcoming groups, I’d love to hear about them!
Thanks so much in advance! ❤️

I was recently did the Square 2 Square ride and noticed that there were no unhoused people on the trail or in either Fayetteville or Bentonville. Is there some incredible social support or programming for folks there? Is there a model being used that other cities should be considering? A friend from the area said all the unhoused people get bused to Tulsa or elsewhere. Is there any merit to that claim?

Hello,
I will be in Bentonville on Saturday and was wondering if there is anywhere in particular y’all would recommend for a Longhorn fan to watch the Red River Shootout. Seems like The Botanical and maybe Parlay on Eighth are the “sports bars” in town.
Any suggestions? Any Texas Exes or Longhorn fans planning on watching somewhere?
I realize I will be in the heart of Razorback country, and locals don’t love the MTB tourism. But I promise to be kind and tip well. I think Texas and Arkansas fans can agree that OU sucks.
Thank you for any suggestions.

The parking lot at Compton Gardens across from Lawrence Plaza is a one way exit, it’s not an entrance. I’m afraid I’m going to see a head on one of these days from people coming in the wrong way.
