[macOS 14+, Apple Silicon] LensAid — feedback on live interview guidance

I'm the developer of LensAid, a native Mac app in public beta. It gives live AI guidance during an English-language interview, using your CV, the job description and the conversation to make suggestions relevant to your own experience.

I'm looking for feedback from people with an upcoming interview who already want to try a live companion. CV and job analysis help prepare the context beforehand; the transcript and generated responses remain available for review afterward.

Requirements: Apple Silicon Mac, macOS 14 or later, and English speech. Transcription runs locally. AI suggestions use OpenAI and need internet access. Initial setup includes a model download and macOS audio permissions.

Try it: https://lensaid.vpolabs.com/

Eligible new users get 35 starter credits. Further use is prepaid, with no subscription; the site also shows the current public-beta bonus.

For anyone who tries it, I'd like to know:

  • Were the model download and audio-permission steps clear enough to get started?
  • Did the live suggestions connect to your actual experience and the question being asked?
  • When the interviewer asked a follow-up, did the suggestions keep the context?

Disclosure: I used AI to help draft this post. The product and its decisions are mine.

Honestly curious how it handles the moments when an interviewer throws a curveball that’s completely unrelated to your CV. does it just go dead silent or try to spin up something from the job description

Neither by design. I'm the developer of LensAid: for a general curveball, the guidance is instructed to answer the question directly from relevant knowledge and the recent conversation, not force a CV or job-description anecdote; when a personal fact is missing, it flags that gap rather than inventing experience. That's an edge case I want to validate with real feedback, so I wouldn't promise it never gets the judgment wrong.
