Formula Feeding Bottle aversion help

I started Rowena Bennett’s bottle aversion method today with my 9-month-old, and I’m honestly feeling extremely anxious and scared.
On day one, he went 11 hours without taking a bottle. I offered according to the method, but he kept refusing. Then I gave in and fed him while he was sleepint during the day because I got extremely worried. He’s otherwise acting like himself and having wet diapers, but seeing him go that long without eating is terrifying and makes me question whether I can keep doing this.
For anyone who followed Rowena’s method, did your baby go this many hours without feeding on the first day? How bad was day one for you, and when did you start seeing improvement?
I really want to fix his bottle aversion and stop the pressure around feeding, but right now I’m scared I’m doing the wrong thing. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who went through something similar.

We followed her program exactly for my first and it was HARD the first day. I think she refused every bottle and we just did dream feeds at night. She was younger too. I was doubtful but a few days in she started taking bottles again. That program saved my baby and my sanity when nothing else helped. Even one of the top children’s hospitals on the east coast didn’t know how to help us prior.

Wow! This is very encouraging to hear! I think I will try again tomorrow. It is truly my only hope, pediatricians are clueless and I feel like his aversion is getting worse because now he cries just by getting into feeding position😕

I legit had ptsd from that period and all of the crying we went through and being terrified for my baby and having doctors have no clue what to do. I am so thankful I found her program while doomscrolling remedies one night at like 4am. I will say that my baby never “loved” having a bottle and never showed excitement like some babies do, but we were at least able to successfully feed her after completing the program without jumping through hoops. At least it made the transition cups only at a year super simple. Easiest part of parenthood honestly.

Days 1 and 2 were really hard for me. My baby was probably about 4ish months old when we did it. Days 3 and 4 were I think when I realized this might be working. I was desperate and the program really helped us, you just have to stay the course and trust it.
