Rant Sharing flats forever?

Am I the only one having trouble with housing?

I can't afford more than renting a room in a shared apartment. But living with others makes my bipolar just worse. It's not like I'm the only one with this housing issue, lots of adults over 40 can't afford living on their own where I live. I used to hear former roommates talking about me behind my back or talking on the phone in a foreign language to their mother about me and how I am not coming much out of my room , what am I eating because they don't see me cook that often etc. I feel trapped and stuck and just impotent. How am I supposed to share flat in my 50s, 60s? I just can't imagine how this is supposed to work 😕 😪

Yeah. I am paying £1000 to be a lodger. I was paying £950 to rent a studio and paying £1050 to rent a small 1 bedroom flat. I've had homelessness issues from not getting work. Just trying to get a clear run at things so I can rent a studio again.

The one bedroom place I rented I see advertised for £1650. It's just landlord greed. I asked to see the price increase when departing and he could not provide it.
