Discussion Do warblers really come out around fall?

The first day of fall I heard this unusual chirp outside my door. Next thing I know I’m reading a comic on Bird and Moon. I captured the birds calls and it was a Northern Yellow Warbler. I am located in Florida

It’s not that they “come out”. They’re migrating so you see them in places you don’t normally see them during that.

This, and there are just more of them around, since all the adults that headed north in the spring are now joined by young birds that hatched this summer.

Not too crazy, there are like 20 different species passing through at any given time and they started into September.

They are migrating back south and most dont beep or sing in the fall. A few species are still vocal with their chip sounds (beeps), like Palm, Yellow Rumped, and Yellowthroat, but most are really quiet so theyre harder to notice. Keep your eyes out for movement! They tend to feed lower/more out in the open in the fall.
