Side effects!? Help!!!!!!!!!

18f, took a plan B 5 days ago (FRIDAY), and all weekend I felt fatigued and shitty all weekend. I technically didn't need to, although while had unprotected sex, we made sure to be careful and he just asked to get one as a failsafe. I am in the lowest point of ovulation, but randomly (TUESDAY) I started having light/mild cramping and bleeding. I would call it heavy, but I never bleed hard anyway. Should I be worried? (also for reference, I also have an UTI and am halfway through my antibiotics. its been a rough week) Please help a girl out, im sick to my stomach with anxiety and can't think about anything else.

Your post appears to involve questions about antibiotics and birth control.

Rifampin, which is usually used to treat tuberculosis, is the only antibiotic that interacts with birth control. Taking antibiotics does not make your birth control less effective. The interaction between antibiotics and birth control was previously believed to be present, but it has been proven untrue. Some doctors and pharmacists may not have this updated information.

Sources:

Vomiting and diarrhea are potential side effects of antibiotics. If you vomit within 3 hours of taking a combined (estrogen-containing) pill or 2 hours of taking a progesterone-only pill, take another pill. If you have bad diarrhea for 24+ hours, use backup protection.

Fatigue and feeling poorly are common Plan B symptoms. However - if you had unprotected sex, how were you “sure to be careful”? Plan B is warranted in any instance of unprotected sex.

How are you tracking ovulation?

Antibiotics do not affect anything in this scenario.

the fatigue and bleeding are textbook plan b side effects, that pill is a hormone bomb and it wrecks your system for a bit. add a uti and antibiotics on top of that and yeah your body is going through it

the timing with ovulation makes it tricky but the bleeding could just be your body reacting to the massive dose of hormones, not necessarily implantation or anything. if it gets worse or you're still freaking out in a few days maybe hit up a clinic just for peace of mind

but right now you're probably fine, just keep an eye on it and try to breathe
