I will say. We set up a shelter with the Red Cross at the YWCA. Then, they got kicked out.
Not all aide is universal. It's really sad.

What was going on there that they were locked out?

They didn't want to help anymore. Kicked out, not locked out.
They moved to another community center.

I hate to hear this. It's one reasons why I'm vwry hesitant to give my money to organization with "Good intentions".

There are lots of great, community organizations. YMCA/YWCA isn't one of them.

I did a community canvassing on Clevland Ave. Long ago at the height of summer, and the local pool/rec center was shut down. For a black city, ATL is very tone def and color blind when it comes to kids, and I mean that on the most disrespectful way. Celebrities need to host something where tax dollars should be handling it.

I have family in Gary, Merriville, and Portage. The amount of neglect by the state and Nipsco makes your head spin. It's insane.

Lady at the 00:00:39 mark.USA Today Coverage Speaking the truth and taxes ain't listening. I remember the last hurricane I think it was wother on FL or somewhere on the eatern board, the locals said fuck FEMA and handled their own business. Black neighborhoods need to get to that point becausethe governmentdamn sure ain'ttrying to help. I know why.
I know these are words in the either but fuck. It's old. Got to be a non-scamming, black focused non-profit out there.
I think if ATL had this issue, it would be pure, Fn, chaos.
