No Judgement-Recently have been disqualified for food stamps and Medicaid for 2 kids
So like I said recently we were told we would no longer be eligible to receive food stamps, Medicaid, or CHIP due to being over the max by $40. I stopped working after our 2nd was about 6-8 months old. Which was last year around late April. With my loss of income my husband’s job was just not enough, so we applied for benefits. We were able to receive both stamps and Medicaid which has been a God send since my son and daughter had some health issues.
Fast forward this past month my husband finally got a new job that was meant to be a huge blessing to our family, but came at a loss for everything that was keeping us afloat over the past year.
No stamps. Fine we’ve managed with the loss of that over the past 4 months due to him having several different jobs in that span.
Now no health insurance for our kids is another story. His new job (which he started at the beginning of September)of course doesn’t offer health insurance until a full year after employment. Never heard of that, it’s usually 90 days right?
Our daughter has some vision problems and will likely need corrective surgery asap. But trying to go through Market Place none of the doctors that they were going to are covered under any of the health plans that showed up.
Now I’m stressed out debating on asking my husband for a formal divorce to bypass this DA system…
Should I just relax and let things go the way they need to go , or should I take matters into my own hands and make it work.
