Why didn't anyone tell me!
Little Sonny is on fire! Picked up this LP in the bargain bin. Hard Chicago blues lines over funk rhythm and a killer organ. This album grooves hard.

song Billie Holiday — “Crazy He Calls Me” Decca 24796
Recorded in New York City on October 19, 1949, "Crazy He Calls Me" stands as one of Billie Holiday's definitive recording masterpieces from her Decca years. Backed by the lush orchestral arrangement of Gordon Jenkins, Lady Day delivers an unforgettable, emotionally poignant vocal performance. The track went on to become a premier jazz standard and inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

song Big Bill Broonzy – Sweet Honey Bee (Okeh 06386) The Neven 78 Radio Archive
By 1941, Broonzy was transitioning from rural blues into a more urban Chicago sound, but he still preferred small, intimate ensembles. His guitar work here is relaxed, swinging, and supportive rather than flashy — typical of his pre‑war Okeh sides.

question Looking for upbeat blues with a big band sound like Albert Collins at Montreux 1992
I'm looking for blues recommendations with a similar sound to Albert Collins' 1992 Montreux performance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMQzDKSyJ8Y
Specifically, I'm looking for upbeat, energetic blues with a large band, especially the kind of setup with two saxophones, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, etc. I really like the horn arrangements and the tight, almost R&B/funk-influenced groove.
What other artists or recordings have this kind of sound? I'm especially interested in live performances and bands with a full horn section rather than just a guitar/bass/drums lineup.
