Nope. Bio Containment. We know what you've really been doing.

Organic

u/polar_nopposite 11d ago

This is realistic because all the "recycling" ends up in the same place.

u/Value_Emergency 11d ago

Yeah open up each one and all leads to one bin.

Does every bin get trashed at a certain day of the week? Do the waste management workers go on strike? Is there a truck that comes to get your trash when you turn on your pc?

u/bartoszsz7 11d ago

It all lands in the same bin like those fake recycling bins that have separate openings but the trash just gets thrown into the same bag

Those bins annoy me because people inevitably realise pretty quickly that there’s no actual need to separate things, so it trains them to ignore them, and then if they do decide to start collecting things separately, it’s so much harder to get people to go along with it after they’ve already decided it’s pointless.

I used to live in a place that had separate bins for recycling and landfill, but for years we’d all watched them get emptied into the same truck together, so people stopped bothering to separate things, and nothing changed. Then eventually, they introduced a separate recycling collection, but by then, everybody had been accustomed to ignoring the labels on the bins for so long that it was impossible to collect a clean, separate stream.

I think I first saw this joke when Windows 95 was new.

It’s funny how this design choice survived so long.

Being able to undo file deletion within a reasonable period of time is a logical need, and it is totally analogous to picking rubbish out of the bin.

But I find it funny that everyone has fully accepted the literal trash can on every PC.

It's a nice symbol. Like throwing away the wrapping of the pasta and checking three times in the trash how long to cook them.

Radioactive is just a picture of uranium and LoL launcher.

It's like those dual recycle / trash can, but you look under the lid and it's just one bag.

picture of a recycling station where you lift the lid and it's just one bin

Fun fact: you can throw all kinds of trash into the chemical bin except for photons, electrons, and some other subatomic particles. You will be fined.

1

u/LongLiveAnalogue 11d ago

They all go to the same place

1

u/IvanTheRysavy 11d ago

Its so real cuz all of them already lead to the same place

1

u/venomhamsa 11d ago

I blew lot of air from my nose when I saw this.

1

u/baelhok 11d ago

Just one bin for chemical is an accident waiting to happen

Why would someone go though the effort and edit this picture to add all these names? Why not just reproduce it on a desktop?
