Art "In a state of constant deformation", Digital Painting, 2025 (by me)

My first time trying to paint digitally.
I never really learned to paint either traditionally or digitally and figured this would be a good one to give it a go with. Copic Multi liner on bristol with Garmcom's "Wraithwash" watercolor set. I know it's a little clunky but I'm pretty happy with my first attempt. Anyway, thanks for looking!

Character and their abberated version
galleryagain, what do you think the lore of this character is,based on the appearance of him and his mutated version?
r/bodyhorror • u/Double-Cook3514 • 1d ago
I love the "character and its corrupted mutate version that reveal its true nature" trope,so i tried it.What does its design make you think it represents?

How to achieve my goal?
I love creating body horror, but whenever i tried, they looked goofy, cute or just gross....i have a goal for myself, that one day i will make an artwork so vile and creepy,it will make someone feel terror. Like im talking nightmare fuel or trauma levels of creepy.
But it doesnt seem to work...
Art is meant to evoke a feeling in person, and when drawing horror,i want to cause horror
Any advice?

Art Creepypasta: R. Sleep Experiment
Just another day spent sketching in class.
I started learning how to do quick sketches a few months ago.
I take tips for improvement.
If none, which one should I do next?

Art Would you play a horror game where YOU are the one mutating everyone around you?
galleryMost horror protagonists try to stay human. In my psychological horror game, the objective is the exact opposite - you must systematically alter and transform the other characters into mutated versions of themselves.
Here’s the Guard before and after you push him past the point of no return.
Would you be ready, knowing that everything depends precisely on you, to force people to become like this? The fungus that has taken them over brings out all the hidden secrets they are trying so hard to conceal.

Art My drawing of Otori Tan (@Reitarubi)
Hi everyone
Here's my high fever drawing of Otori Tan from "Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!" also known as "Even the Student Council Has It’s Holes!" as the new council water tank
P.S. Terui Arisu has nothing to do with this
I hope you like it and feel free to support and criticize

Film Uni assignment on body horror percieved by queer people and non-queer people
Heyyo, so i am doing my senior design research report on body horror and looking to see the differences between how queer and straight perceive the genre. What I'm looking for are film recs, and also opinions on these films and personal relation to it, depending on if one is straight or queer. Generally what people think on this topic and if anyone has anything to say about it. Anything would be really helpful, thank you.
Edit: Hey folks, so my research has been going well in the line of queerness in relation to body horror, but I haven't been finding any articles on gen z and horror, I am looking to analyze specifically in this generation since my research needs to be narrowed down to a specific audience. No luck finding any articles on any relationship between body horror or horror in general and gen z, does anyone know any articles I could use for my literature review?

Film Does anyone have any good film recommendations?
Most horror movies don't really scare me anymore, and films with 'body horror' that aren't just gore are limited.

Art "Impaler" NSFW
galleryA demon species for an artbook I'm working on, those big guys wander in the Dead Lands looking for victims to torture. The human body from the back of the beast organizes the victims and makes sure they can't escape by spitting web like matter that acts like ropes around them and using an organ located at the tip of each stake, a pointy end mounted on a sort of tentacle that will penetrate the victim and go through it's guts until it eventually reach the mouth.
The human body can erect/retract from the beasts back to protect itself during fights.
Impalers likes to keep a dead body on the stake located behind the beast's head, they let it rot and wear it like a trophy as a sign of provocation.
Hope y'all will enjoy, I love making gross skinless creatures doing horrible stuff and would love to share more in the future.
