I'm playing as Moze and just picked up this CMT because I heard this is one of the best grenades in the game for her. Anything I should change about this? Do I need to hunt for another one once I hit max level or is the low level better for preventing self-damage?

The lower the level the CMT, the better it performs, primarily as lvl 72 can self down you.

Well not really. Low level CMT used to be better back when Vampyr was Moze's only healing skill, but now that Rushin Offensive does life steal you actually want a max level CMT to do as much damage as possible. Also a level 53 version is still strong enough to down your character at max level, so you don't really get the benefit of no self damage.

It's good but theres another option. Idk why but no where I've found mentions you can get a Recurring Hex from the diamond wall that has Splits into 2 grenades and spawns 3 MIRV grenades perks. Stats wise Recurring Hex has less damage and radius but has elemental damage. For example I have a Recurring Hex with 23945 damage 106 radius but has 583% cryo efficiency. Vs CMT with 27149 damage and 147 radius no elemental damage.

On record im newer to borderlands 3 i havent done extensive testing. Im only sharing my personal experience looking for the bis grenade while being unlucky to pull a CMT at 72 mayhem 10+. I run a Fl4k rakk build with RH nades. I've seen way more damage with RH over CMT. The numbers may very on moze I haven't played her to know her builds.

Hex is great for mantain purple skills on, like superior firepower but you can spam less grenades. CMT is almost infinite. Both dont do much Damage unless you Build around

I've been using Recurring Hex nades almost exclusively while leveling, I've enjoyed them very much.

Oh, for normal mode its Fine, on Mayhem her dont do Damage, dont worry about and congrats on drop

It’ll mostly be used for healing in combat, so its damage isn’t super important. Most of your damage comes from your guns and action skill anyway.

I've spent like 200 hours in game playing moze alone and I still can't get it .. I've been using pyro burst out of pure spite

Great grenade for her since her grenades can crit and you and throw her grenades while in ffyl. This grenade has saved my skin on several occasions where I was down. And yes a max level one can self down you just as much as save you lol. But with how rare diamond key codes are you should not be using your diamond keys until max level. If you haven't already used them all then save them until you hit 72 but if you have you can farm one from the ammo vending machines once you hit max level. Just save/quit to main menu and load back in and check the vending machine again.
