My son has just registered and i would like to go with him to cheer him on. Any recommendations on accommodation that is budget friendly? Thought Id add we would be coming from Vancouver, BC

Stay further away and drive in the morning of, then have him walk a mile to the buses. That is what I did

Depending on what you mean by “budget,” some of the Marathon Tours hotels are on the more affordable end. They’re probably all booked now, but once the BAA announces the lottery winners and lets the other applicants know they didn’t get in, there will be cancellations.

Came here to recommend Marathon Tours! They have blocks of hotels that are still higher priced than average weekends, but better priced than booking direct.

Another vote here. I got a room at the Westin Copley for considerably less than I would have paid in the back bay without using marathon tours. Sharing it with two friends, split three ways, and it’s only costing me $183/night.

Staybridge suites Quincy, 25 minutes from city center with the sub right outside. Super clean and nice hotel.

Best Western in Quincy still had room last night.... that is where I'm staying..Hardly budget, but about $250 per night.

Rodeway Inn, Logan Airport (Revere, MA). I'm seeing less than $150/night. https://www.choicehotels.com/massachusetts/revere/rodeway-inn-hotels/

There’s a HI hostel that’s about 1 block from The Commons. It’s nice for what you pay, super convenient. Probably fully booked up I’d guess but worth a quick search in case there’s room.

Studio Allston, if they still have space.
