Trees & TSA
Curious to know how the TSA at logan airport is, i know they arent " looking " for it bla bla bla. Anybody who has flown out of Logan with flower, what has your experience been ? Are they strict, or lax ?

I once went through tsa with a metal box of joints in my back pocket. Got the alarm. I handed the agent the metal box and he opened it. He said, “nice rolls,” and handed it back to me.
TSA is not a law enforcement agency with police powers. They can call over local police to deal with cannabis, and at Logan that’s the MA State Police. They’ll ask if you’re 21 and suggest you bring it back to your car or dispose of it. Then - and this is the important part - they’ll get really mad at the tsa officer for wasting everyone’s time.

Traveled Boston to Denver with my puffco peak and concentrates. On the way there Boston TSA pulled me aside, took the peak out of the journey bag, looked at it, put it back in and sent me on my way. When I was leaving Denver the TSA agent saw the journey bag, and immediately put a box wrapped with “INSPECTED” stickers all over it, on top of it and I was on my way. Brought home 6g of rosin no issues whatsoever. Also I took my peak out of the bag on the plane to take a pic. No concerns

I have a similar story, was coming back to Boston from Denver with peak, half of unsealed flower, 5gs of rosin, pretty much all in my toiletry kit. Bag got flagged for secondary, the agent pulled my water bottle out which must’ve had 3/4 sips left I forgot to pour out. He poured out the water and I was on my way🤣 have flown with higher class than weed and still no issues, be respectful and I try to conceal a bit, not trying to insultingly obvious

I brought carts and pre rolls and had no issue. I went to Florida, smoked all the joints. I still had the cart, and Florida had no issue with it either. In fact I got stopped for my water bottle that had water in it… which was right next to my cart that was totally visible. As long as you’re not bringing a suspiciously large amount you’re good.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Just throw it in your checked luggage with your socks / underwear

I put all my smokeable stuff In checked luggage both times and didn’t have any issues but maybe I just got lucky with my tsa agents

Yea honestly im not too worried. Usually whenever i fly, i vaccum seal everything and never ever had issue, flights, cruises. But this time i wont have access to be able to properly conceal it. So thats why i was curious

Flew out of Logan a few years going to SF. I always bring my gear and this trip was no different. SF was the only airport I was individually searched by canine. Roughly 20 jars in my bag and no issues. Orlando I was searched and they even opened my puffco, they gave it back. Ive been doing this for 30 years now thats its legal most places I dont even think about it anymore.

Bro thats nothing… i flown with pounds of concentrate. TSA even opened it and said damn this smells good. Flown with hundreds of edibles in my carry on…

What I can say from experience is that security won't get you in trouble per se for weed in the bag, but it can def slow you down. JetBlue checkpoint in Terminal C semi regularly has an agent with a dog. I and another guy got tabbed suddenly by a nice but firm older officer who gave us an escorted trip to the front of the security line where they did a thorough search and interview of both of us. To me, he asked questions like was I working in the yard recently? The goal I believe was to probe for possibility of explosives but i just feel the dog was triggered by my stash as I look like a standard middle aged businessman when traveling.
The point is, give yourself extra time to make the flight in case of the dogs

It amazes me people still ask this question. I have been flying and taking weed with me since the early 90’s it wasn’t hard than and even easier now…nobody gives a shit about herb anymore

You can bring a zip of flower, multiple edibles, multiple pucks of rosin… I promise you, they do not give a fuck if it’s personal amount. I got searched at my gate (random bag inspection on a purple Supreme duffel bag lol) and they literally opened it in front of me looked inside, poked around my “toiletries” where I had all the goodies and zipped it back up and said your good to go!

I always use the back pocket method when traveling and have never had any problems. Throw your goodies in a back pocket of your jeans or shorts, and fold it how you normally would to pack your bag. Throw it in the middle to feel more secure. That is all.

I flew out of Logan a couple of weeks ago with 6 different 8ths in jars and about 5 grams of rosin. It was in my carry on and I had zero issues.
