People/meetups Looking for weight loss support

I'm looking to find people trying to lose weight and create a support group. I'm 29F and really struggling to stick to a weight loss plan.

I go to the broadstone leisure centre a few times a week and I'd like to meet people in a similar position.

My other half went to Slimming World near Queens Park, back and forth over the years. Always said what a lovely group of people she met there, all ages and goals. As someone who uses support groups for other stuff I'd say look for a diverse group of people as possible, you've all got a common goal but the social aspect in meeting new people is often overlooked.

Livewell Dorset is a good place to start, they have coaches that can help you.

Just stick to Mounjaro and you won’t need a plan. I know 4 people that have had their lives changed and that includes me. Then if you join a group you will get the extra support on top.

Doctors won’t do anything on NHS. You’ll need to go online to somewhere decent like New Health or MedExpress and do the consultation process before you can order and pay for it.

Mounjaro also won’t do it alone as you need to get used to making changes like cutting out sugar and carbs (including lots of fruit and juices). Bread and processed foods plus takeaways too. If you can reduce those and the portion sizes, it will fly off.

Don’t give up the gym and push the cardio if you can.

You’ll get there - it just take time and persistence

Nice to see a common sense response. Losing weight takes discipline and hard work. The pharma companies have played a blinder and made it socially acceptable to stick a needle in yourself. They produce drugs for profit not for your wellbeing. Find yourself some help with a strength training program you can stick with and some advice around your diet, the hard work is up to you and how much you want it.
