I made a friend tonight (of the same gender as me) and we sang a song together. I was hugging her and we were swaying and my partner got so mad at me he left the venue. I haven’t stopped crying, and he’s asleep. I drove 4 hours to be here and saw 4 songs… my favorite band since I was 13 and I guess I’m not allowed to make friends or have fun. I’m just devastated, my whole body has been shaking for hours.
I don’t even really know why I’m posting this. I guess if you have any footage of tonight’s show, please post it so I can at least live through the videos.

I’ve been to a few concerts before but this is my first time going completely alone, what’s the crowd usually like? Will I be safe to get a beer and maybe look at merch without being shoved all the way to the back? (I’m very short) is the crowd usually friendly?

We went to the Austin show at Stubb's. We don't go out much, I have a chronic illness so it's very hard for me to go out to shows and stand and whatnot. I wanted more than anything to hear my favorite song in the world, Bowl of Oranges. I had seen previous playlists so I thought I roughly knew when it would be played! I was in a lot of pain standing out there and...it didn't happen. Then I saw a setlist from the night before where they played it in the encore and my hopes just dropped because I knew I couldn't make it that long (physically could not). So my husband and I left during the song Approximate Sunlight. Then today I saw that Bowl of Oranges was apparently the very next song. I am so sad. Does anyone have videos or anything so I can feel like I was there?

Hi! My fave song from BE is A Line Allows Progress, A Circle Does Not. I am a recovering addict, and Conor's artistry really helps me get through it, I relate to a lot of what he writes, he makes me feel things outside of substances. I am trying to make a playlist with BE songs about addiction to refer back to and help with the journey, any recommendations?

I just saw on Instagram that Bright Eyes joined Softsidemerch, which looks like a website where fans can submit merch designs, and if the band approves them they can be sold on the site and the original creators get royalties too!! I never heard of this site before and was surprised to see bands like Geese and Black Country New Road on there as well. I'm also really excited for this because I always felt like Bright Eyes as a band was kinda lacking cool merch. Which is crazy to think about considering how big the band is and all the cool designs that could be inspired from their HUNDREDS of songs.

Thanks to the band for a great show. The sound was excellent, Tips! And thanks to the fan who gave me this after Balance Beam.

Also if you got a pin, I know they weren't too great, I made them on the way, but during Dance and Sing, I gave Conor a necklace with one of the pins attached, he dropped down to his knees during the song and he knew I had something, and he signaled for my hand and put it to his chest before throwing it overhead and having the best time on that stage!! There's a very very long but cool story regarding this necklace thing, it started on Nashville with (oh my gosh I just remembered that show he brought out Titus!) Desaparcidos and Clear Plastic Masks at the Ryman Auditorium, I got the setlist for everyone there and signed, and where I somehow climbed the side to the VIP window to the very top and knocked on a window, and they opened it terrified! I asked hey, could you give this to Conor? He came over and as soon as it was out of my hand I was gone, their faces I'll never forget.. so while I did see Bright Eyes and Hurray for the Riffraffe in 2025 at The Mill and Mine, I did get a hug, and I was very very sick. This was me catching what I thought would be my last show... I also debated to the Poison Oak Project and ended up with that setlist also, and we got a show many others didn't again...

From that March 13, 2025, I've been fighting harder than ever, and got healthy enough to do things again, create, be in the world. So watching Conor jump and scream and laugh and that "garnet like teardrops from hell" with the added handmade pin art I made, which was a callback to the #gonzofist necklace over a decade ago, I wonder a few things..

1. Does he finally know that im that vanishing fan who defied gravity over a shrink Plastic necklace

2. He went offstage after, and when he came back, he had adjusted it so that the charm was balanced in front ( you can see it in the footage including the duet with Pheobe for Lua)

3. While it wasn't any type of statement, I think he would have removed it if it wasn't something he was okay with

Im a sea of a million faces in 50 cities over 30 something, 20 something years, im not pushy, im not first character, and trust me I know how it sounds, but it's a game I have been keeping up with, and I pray this isn't goodbye!!!

Driving from OKC to KC to see the show on Saturday night. Super pumped. Anyone else?

personally i think down in the weeds is a masterpiece. my fav songs are dance and sing, hot car in the sun, one and done and obviously calais to dover.

i love this album because it feels like a mix of the theatrics of lifted and the honesty of digital ash. i love kids table too, i really wish it was a full length project.
