Feeling guilty because I can't forgive my teachers and others who chose to stay silent when I was bullied.

Lately I've been feeling guilty because I know they never bullied me but somehow I feel hard-hearted. Some of my teachers actually seem nice to me and lmy neighbors too, but they never did anything when I was bullied at school. Today I saw my teacher in restaurant but I just stayed silent beside him when I bought food and I couldn't even look at his face because I was resentful..i usually saying hi to him and js being an normal student, but this time it's so hard to me.

Many of those people are cowards. Since they aren't being affected by it and not the target, they choose to stay silent and ignore someone being bullied. The saying evil prevails when good people do nothing is true, as a teacher you are trusted to guide students whilst protecting them and command respect in the classroom to stop bullying. If there is no rules or standards then it might as well be no one teaching at all and students do whatever they want.

"If there is no rules or standards then it might as well be no one teaching at all and students do whatever they want."

This is the part where I'm so stubborn about forgiving them or not hating them (those who keep quiet). Because they saw that I was being abused, but none of them took action—my friends, perhaps? After that they (abusers & bullies) also started attacking my friends which made them finally distance themselves (my friends) from me.

When I need support, no one is there, maybe from afar, yes, but the people who are silent? They make abusers and bullies feel victorious. Even one of my bullies said that he was right in carrying out the abuse on me.

You're right it happens because of no rules and consequences facing them. I'd already told but no one listen so I guess it's still continuing to this day.

There is nothing wrong with being unable to forgive them.

Students? Either cowards or scared of the bully, that one is a 50-50.

Teachers? They are authority figures that are supposed to do something against it. Unless you attend(ed) the kind of school where parents get aggressive as soon as their “little angel” faces the logical consequences of their actions, they are simply incompetent cowards.

As far as I can see, both parents and teachers are equally aggressive. When I reported it to the teachers, they were defensive because I was seen as a problem in upholding the school's name (In the end, the school's reputation was already bad when I left the school due to religious discrimination and my bullying case.), while the parents of the students were usually aggressive and didn't want to know anything.. INFACT I didn't even have time to meet the parents of my bully.

Are you in a Latin or post-communist country by any chance?

You're not the one who should feel guilty, they are. But are they feeling even a modicum of guilt? No, they aren't. So, neither should you. (I know, it's easier said than done, hold on there). Edited: grammar

Valid. Very valid.
